It’s not part of the job to put up an ice rink that isn’t even used and then rush to take it down last minute before a set. That’s a whole extra stage to put up and take down for no reason

But they're labourers not slaves, it's work for which they'd all be getting paid and paid pretty f***ing well to do especially if they're operating under the beck and call of diva artists like Frank
I've been a labourer, and it's not so much about the pride in what you're doing as much as it is just wanting to work - in terms of just strictly setting up and pulling down soundstages etc
That said tho, the ice skaters who spent weeks rehearsing choreography, expecting a moment to shine at the most anticipated set of the year, to then only be told to walk in a circle for the sake of "mysterious esoteric artistry".... yeah I'd be f***ing livid lol
