i think his band sounded tightest there and would love to see him explore that sound more
the modular synthesis work straight up failed sometimes (i think white ferrari lead synth was out of time) but it was still an impressive set up that i know took weeks of set up / rehearsal. i personally love to see him work with modular more in his life performances if he chooses to perform live more in the future
the dj set in the middle was awesome. mixes were cool they def sounded crazy in person, i’m mad we couldn’t get a livestream of that
to each their own but y’all on my d*** even tho i’m sayin i agree with y’all on certain points
low points are undeniably weak and unacceptable from someone of his caliber but the highlights are just as undeniable too

like even disregarding this, we had niggas saying WLR was one of the greatest tours ever and the dude barely performed any of his music
the energy was great, but cmon dawg, bro would literally just throw on a song and hit a bar every other time + an adlib, and that was enough for a good tour
frank ocean showing up, playing some reworks and mixes among a mostly disastrous set up is enough
i jus don’t really get it tbh
New age hip hop/rap fans think lots of energy and jumping and yelling but not actually rapping words to songs is a great performance
That's why they think the Kanye's, the Carti's are the best shows atm and that's how Astroworld ended up being the tragic disaster it was

what do you mean? if there's no clock on stage or in-ear access to event personnel, usually info like that would have to be passed by someone off to the side of the stage indicating or just going up to the performer to tell them it's a wrap.
