he said on stage there is an album, and on a poster earlier this year he said that from 2017 to 2020 he was focused on singles but has since came back around to the idea of making an album
Whether or not it comes out is depending on Frank liking it, but he's working on an album

imagine the look anyone in the real world would give you if you told them that a musician you like is being abusive to you for releasing luxury jewellery, dropping singles and putting on a messy show (probably some more stuff)

like Ye and Gambino always fought for, you don't have to just stick to music, anyone (including you and me) is allowed to make anything whenever they want no matter what they made in the past, you can make music and then do fashion, TV, or jewellery, it's fine and not everything is made for everyone
the fans paid for a show and albeit not what Frank intended, he still played until curfew despite an injury and change in plans, its s***ty and annoying for people going to Weekend 2 but it's doctors orders
this isn't about him being such a God that no mortal deserves to hear from him, he's just a regular guy who like you and me who doesn't owe anyone an album or anything just because they released one in the past, it would be nice but the music industry doesnt stop because Frank Ocean didnt drop, Coachella will go on and great music would still be released without Frank Ocean in the fold (but he is working on an album)

there were rumours before the show he injured his ankle, people that work there said they heard he injured his ankle, he was shown on stage favouring his right leg, he personally said he injured his ankle and doctors told him not to perform

he ostensibly got paid for doing less than half of the work. it’s really not that complicated or far fetched. you don’t know what was in the contract, and that’s what this all depends on.

That man can and has sat on a chair and sing beautiful renditions without moving a muscle. His shows have never once singularly relied on movement. Maybe this one did. But you say f*** it and move to a backup plan for your fans

Artists have dropped out from Coachella completely before and have never been sued. They got paid for doing none of the work. There’s no grounds for a lawsuit
