james blake not on frankās level
Nobody cares if you donāt explain it
Carefulā¦if you listen to enough james blake youāll realize that frank on the whole isnāt all that special
Lmfaooooo
Iād say frank is a far better writer and presents far more interesting aesthetics but blondeās production is very much ported over from James Blake
How do you get James Blake of all artists from Blondeās sound?

Heās on the album twice
Also the BDC mag has I Never Learnt to Share as one of the tracks in the playlist of songs he drew inspiration from

Wouldnāt say it sounds that much like James Blake but I think the way certain sounds come in and certain things will cut out at times, like the arrangements of songs, are James Blake esque

I wonder how many projects heās scrapped in the past 5 years. Bruh probably has one of the best and most valuable music vaults of all time
vault?
once it's scrapped, it's really scrapped. wiped from existence, he'll never let us have it lol
Itāll come eventually, just not until itās ready and done
I think itās definitely in the works but needs some work in post to be up to classic status
Itās really a shame that we lost out on the dance album cause imo that couldāve been his best based on what we have
who knows, maybe we'll still get dance stuff
Remember when hits daily double said in 2021 that he was shopping an album lol
That meant he was shopping FOR albums, at Walmart
Carefulā¦if you listen to enough james blake youāll realize that frank on the whole isnāt all that special
I fw James but this is cap
So a James Blake EP role? Those are the two songs he wrote and produced
James didn't write any songs for Frank. he was one of the producers who were in songwriters credits to get royalties. core producers often considered as co-writters, but that doesn't mean they have anything to do with songwriting process or even lyrics. and Frank was actually the one who helped write James songs when he lived in London
also James has nothing to do with White Ferrari. Frank, Alex G, Sebastian, Buddy Ross, Ommas, Malay and Jon Brion are the ones who worked on istrumentations of that song. James worked on other songs, Solo included. James did organ synths on the album version of Solo, but Frank played completely differend song at Coachella with different instrumental. it's important to note that early demo version of Solo also had a completely different sound and was produced by Martin Gore from Depeche Mode
and Coachella version of White Ferrari has more common ground with LCD Soundsystem, than early James Blake
not surprised you sharing misinformation, once again

it was the list of his favourite songs. it wasn't stated that those songs inspired Blonde sound
Brian Eno is the the one who impacted both James and Frank

Copium
i canāt see this album happening before blondeās 10yr anniversary
i genuinely think this thread will only get like 3 more pages in the next year and a half
not on my watch
TONIGHT

there is no audio, but Depeche Mode engineer confirmed that they worked on Solo demo and it sounded completely different back then

He played organs on Solo, piano on Solo Reprise & some arrangements on Seigfried and all those strike as you as quintessential James Blake?
By 2016, he had released self titled and Retrograde, both heavily electronic sounds as opposed to the striped down sonics of Blonde. In fact, he interpolated Blonde on TCIA and iām sure Frank gave notes because they were very close around that time.
The songs in the magazine are just his favourites not an inspiration for the record.
