I thought washed was when the quality of music was bad

But now it’s when artists don’t drop when we want them too

    Interesting

ive never defined washed like that, and never heard anyone doing that either. Washed is short of washed up, meaning like no longer effective or successful (i guess by some metrics you could Say he's still kind of successful though). Kinda like a has been. I love D'Angelo but from like 2003-2014 he was a complete has been. He cleaned his s*** up and got back to doing what he does best and dropped an amazing album. At this point I think that nigga is just chilling with his family now and whatnot.

If frank were doing the same thing as opposed to trying to come back every few months just to sell merchandise I wouldn't feel this way, but it just makes me cringe really hard because I see right through it. Washed might not be the correct term but it just describes what I'm feeling right now: the guy is coasting on nostalgia to sell merchandise, not the quality of new music.

I wouldn't blame him if he never dropped again, but what he's currently doing is just kind of cringe, even though I perfectly understand that he needs to secure the bag for himself and his folks. I get it, but that doesn't mean I think it's cool or that I'm not off of it completely.

    Exactly how I feel

Never would have expected him to be acting like this

He could literally make that Homer money and the merch drop money doing 5-10 ninety minute shows a year

Nothing wrong with not dropping, though obv I’d love him to not give as much of a f*** and let it all out. But selling merch based off a soon to be 8 year old album while sharing music snippets with no elaboration and disappearing isn’t “mysterious” or “cool” anymore it’s honestly just weird and irritating and dare I say it …

    Pathetic

A new Frank album would absolutely be a success. Gen Z loves Frank, he’d do good streaming numbers

yeah i agree that’s why I mentioned by some metrics namely chart/sales wise he’s still successful and that’s great for him, his album has and likely will continue to stand the test of time. i personally don’t give a f*** about numbers though

Selling blonded merch going on 8 years later with no album in sight is hilarious man lmfao

    blonde was 7 years ago

Also the merch says blonded radio which is only 6 years old and ran from 2017- 2022

also he gave us 2 albums tbh he fed us well, and we got the goated version version of endless in like 2019 right?

“No album in sight” like he hasn’t dropped 10 new songs since blonde/endless lmao
