When someone close to you dies and your fans are entitled people who s*** on you even at a festival you do solely in his honor . Music streaming and the world became a lot of what he thought on endless . He doesn’t need the streams . Snoh just went silent for years let artist take breaks and go live your life

rest in peace to your dad and you are completely right. life goes on and you grow around grief and tragedy as horrible as it is. it's actually reducing him and infantilizing him to treat him with kid gloves about it like he can't do anything. and it's clearly not stopping him from living his life and posting about it all the time. it's kinda just performative empathy and they don't hold any other artist that loses family to that standard either

The grieving time argument could be compelling if he didn’t release a poster with Blonde vinyls 4 YEARS AGO saying he is actively working on an album after retiring the singles model he was planning

frank himself said he's making an album 3 years ago and posts pics playing guitar and s*** so any of this "but he's grieving he can't make music" s*** is something that he doesn't even hold himself to.

40 year old making music about reading diaries and drinking wine

  • Oct 11

Don’t get me wrong that track sounded stupid classic but it gets to a point man

  • x3c

40 year old making music about reading diaries and drinking wine

Sounds like 40 year old activities to me

  • Oct 11

His lack of respect for his fans is egregious all the snippets except for the wine one have been immediately followed up by a merch drop don’t even use coachella as an excuse that show was 50% decent

this is how I know the empathy is performative if this is how you guys talk to someone losing a family member who's not your idolized musician lol

That would make sense if I used grieving as an excuse to why frank hasnt dropped

I just dont care how long he takes and I dont feel entitled to a reason why, its his music, drop when he wants

But niggas bragging out going back to work and being a nice little assembly line worker even after their dad died is pathetic

"I did it so Frank should too"

    F*** kinda logic is that

  • Oct 11

Just made my fans wait 3 hours late in the desert in the middle of the night for a show with 10 minute gaps between songs and half of it was a dj set or me walking around to 7 year old music before walking off as I went past curfew on my own accord also cancelled the livestream to feign mystery

he's not bragging he's telling the reality of life for a normal person who suffers immense loss. life goes on and you go back to work and have to keep s*** moving. you're putting someone you don't know on a pedestal to put down someone who lost their dad like that's crazy man

frank can drop when he wants and I believe he will eventually but the performative empathy police going "UM HES GRIEVING WHATS WRONG WITH YOU" anytime someone says they want new frank music can f*** off

It's not even remotely similar, that nigga NEEDS to work to pay his bills, why would Frank operate like that when he's not that

We want artists to break free from the labels and being forced to drop when they dont want to, well this is what that can look like

How is me not caring when frank drops or not putting him on a pedestal?

Its literally the opposite, you niggas begging for crumbs have him on a pedastal

Hes just a nigga thats good at making music to me, and when he has something he wants to share with the world, I'll be here to listen, if not, cool theres a million other artists to listen to and he has 3 classic projects I can play when I wanna hear him

using ur own grief as a barometer for someone else's and to police their creative process isnt any better. getting curt pushback in response to that shouldnt be allat surprising

critiquing how people fawn n handhold frank is all well n good but no one is really all the way right here. n everyone playing gotcha is acc the most "performative" aspect of this interaction

being this entitled to getting an artist's new music is the whole catalyst for unproductive arguments like this

nobody is saying he needs to drop because he owes us or whatever you're saying. we're saying we should be allowed to want and expect new frank music given he literally said he's making an album to his fanbase years after ryan's passing, and talk about it without people trying to police it off his grief and shut down any discussion

But "I quickly grieved my loved ones and went back to work so frank has no excuses" is f***ing disgusting
