Frank’s timeline is not as unreasonable as people give him credit for
    2016: blonde and endless
2017 & 2018: about 12 songs or so including features
2019: gearing up for release + first few singles
2020: 2 singles, pandemic and death of Ryan
2021 - 2023: iceman freestyle, release of Homer (which I believe was an earnest creative outlet/statement), Coachella, blonded radios that felt as though they were building to something, insta snippets 1 & 2, beginnings of the movie
2024-2026: diary snippet, actually making movie.

There seem to be signs the movie has been completed and a 2027 release feels realistic but obv there’s the chance it does not happen. I get the frustrations people have and Frank surely does take longer than most but I feel like learning an entire new career to the standard you want, even with all the time and resources at your disposal, takes a while.

I’m sure grief follows Frank. I’m sure he has his days that feel normal too. Both are valid. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect the normal days outnumber the grieving days after 6 years, but it’s also okay if they don’t.

    All of this

rest in peace to your dad and you are completely right. life goes on and you grow around grief and tragedy as horrible as it is. it's actually reducing him and infantilizing him to treat him with kid gloves about it like he can't do anything. and it's clearly not stopping him from living his life and posting about it all the time. it's kinda just performative empathy and they don't hold any other artist that loses family to that standard either

It’s ok to want loss as well and grief never truly ends however I think it’s not a good excuse for his lack of music at this point anymore

  • Dr Lee PhD

    Nigga shut that s*** up

You didnt make blonde, nobody gives a s*** about you being a top performer at your f***in job

Making blonde means you get to use grief as an excuse for the rest of your life? This comment made dummy amounts of sense lol

  • Dr Lee PhD

The nigga that made blonde and endless simultaneously can take all the time in the world

Sure yeah however I don’t believe grief after five years is his reason for not dropping

Also he started two maybe three rollouts on his own I didn’t force him to do that

  • sfsorrow

frank himself said he's making an album 3 years ago and posts pics playing guitar and s*** so any of this "but he's grieving he can't make music" s*** is something that he doesn't even hold himself to.

There's a huge difference in making and releasing music

using ur own grief as a barometer for someone else's and to police their creative process isnt any better. getting curt pushback in response to that shouldnt be allat surprising

critiquing how people fawn n handhold frank is all well n good but no one is really all the way right here. n everyone playing gotcha is acc the most "performative" aspect of this interaction

being this entitled to getting an artist's new music is the whole catalyst for unproductive arguments like this

Idk if shut up n word and go back to the assembly line is what I’d call curt feedback but yeah ok

You can want it all yall want

But "I quickly grieved my loved ones and went back to work so frank has no excuses" is f***ing disgusting

Frank himself is back in the studio and his grief isn’t stopping him so idk why you’re shoving it into my face when even he isn’t doing it lmfao

    You arguing with a parasite

  • Dr Lee PhD

Of course, be thirsty, be impatient, be frustrated

My only issue was with that nigga using his own dead father to validate his entitlement he has for a damn stranger

I never said I had any entitlement towards wanting an album except the fact that he himself has been promoting his album

Also 10 years is an insane amount of time to work on a single album like 99th percentile of all works of music

  • Dr Lee PhD

I'm not gonna quote that nigga because its gonna trick him into thinking I want to interact with him but here's the exact quote

"I lost my dad, who was essentially my only family, and had to take on an immensely high stress job where I became a top performer this year. So I don’t rly have much sympathy for grief at year 5"

If you dont see how this is disgusting and dismissive, idk what to tell you nephew

At some point you gotta work through your s*** and not use it an an excuse for not dropping, which isn’t even what Frank was doing btw. I was mostly responding to the fanbase that’s still bringing up grief as an excuse

He hasn’t been indicating the album is close . He has shown he is working on it but he is a human being not just content or product that was the literal point of endless

We had an album with like over half the whole thing previewed already and a full tracklist with singles being dropped with little images all corresponding to a full product

That only stopped bc of Covid, grief stopped him a second time, I actually don’t know what’s stopping him now. If I had to guess it’s cause the wait and critical success is creating pressure or something

Comparing the death of your 50-60 year old dad to the death of a young brother who had the final words on blonde

So essentially the loss of perhaps my closest friend isn’t as important cause he didn’t speak on an album, got it.

Grief something that lasts with you a lifetime but you’re not supposed to just stop everything for it which isn’t rly what he’s doing anyway

Comparing your grief and process to a music artist is absurd. Things clearly changed trajectory after Coachella. Since then we have seen random post on instagram. Vinyl repressings. But a clear indication that was a reset.

It was my 2 cents on grief as I’m actively going through it, that’s all really.

We don’t need to talk about franks grief 5 years post when he doesn’t even publically talk about it, was my only point

Frank an adult and can deal with his grief however he see fit. I highly doubt that’s what’s stopping him from making an album though

The only people who have ever talked about his grief are his fans, bar his comments at the Coachella set if I’m not mistaken
