Because they're usually 50-70% less valuable than mined diamonds on the market, yet his prices don't reflect that. They have basically zero resale value unlike certified authentic diamonds that keep their value. It's a terrible investment.
Gotcha. Then yea I understand you. Heās charging what he wants, but I honestly donāt know how the team there determines cost and what their overhead is. I donāt know how comprable it is compared to the resale value of diamonds in other chains but if itās as you say (Iāll look later) I getcha.
If the pieces were cheaper do u think youād look at it through and investment lens too? Or did you only bring that up because of the context of this convo. Cus sometimes people talk about vanity items like the money has to be recouped.
Jewelry something Im curious about especially when it gets to stones and perspectives of value but I donāt know too much
Frank was making house music years before Drake and B. Best believe heās thinking 5 years ahead again for this new project
Apparently the beat in the lsd episode was produced by frank himself
classic inbound

Are we really hating on Homer for using labgrown diamonds instead of blood / conflict diamonds? Out of all things?

I bring it up because the appeal of high end jewelry (which is the price range in which Homer operates) is that it's something that won't devalue over time and can be passed on, etc. If his prices were more in line with what other lab generated jewelry prices were (even a little more because of the "brand") I'd be okay with it.
