hungryhippo69i’m so curious what he has planned… clearly coachella is an important part of whatever rollout he has in mind, or it’s just gonna be a legacy performance from him where he’ll play the greatest hits and collect a bag
he had three years to cancel so i honestly doubt he will pull out despite his track record
my personal feeling is… i’m not sure we’ll get an album, but definitely a few new songs. a new setlist, stage design, merch… it’ll be cool.
but my heart is saying we’re gonna get a new record from him.

bc like… everyone is dropping before coachella this year so i feel like frank wouldn’t do that
but… if it was close to being done three years ago then i feel like it has to be pretty much set by now… can’t imagine he’s gonna be tweaking it like crazy by april
my wild guess would be a drop immediately after the second coachella set. play half the record weekend 1 and half the record weekend 2
or one new record for each wknd ? hahahaha
maybe coachella is the start of the rollout vs. the end of the rollout?

It seems like this Coachella performance has always been centered around a new album, and I don’t think he’d debut new songs during the performances.
I think the album will drop in March-April before the first Coachella weekend.
I’d predict we get more info sometime in February

why is this even a convo? u think ppl will boycott a frank ocean show bc he’s playing for most beloved album of the 10s? plus he’s only played that project like 7 times so not only is it rare for fans but also for frank himself

It’s not like Frank is a frequent performer or has already toured Blonde/Endless (I don’t count the festival circuit)
The overwhelming majority of people have never heard any of his stuff live, he can absolutely get away with performing old s***.
