does this mean he ain’t doing the surprise drop again? never thought he’d go the og route again
I think he doesn't want the vinly and merch fiasco to happen again and thats much easier to avoid with a big label, thats why im thinking republic based on their rollouts
does this mean he ain’t doing the surprise drop again? never thought he’d go the og route again
he wants to have the biggest bag possible
predictions on which label the album is dropping on? My guess is XL recordings
one of the major ones (RCA, Columbia) with an equally major bag
was very close to signing either a publishing deal or something else with columbia when he signed that publishing deal w warner chappell back in 2019
He was said to be close to a deal with Columbia Records earlier this year, but sources say talks fell off.

RCA ruin careers I hope he stays away from them

XL Recordings does make a lot of sense, they have a really nice roster of artists
What's going on fill me in
HDD report LP5 is being previewed for labels (to quote: "sources are also saying the album is f***ing great.") Unlikely that Frank is looking to sign to any of them though, but is instead browsing deals for his next project to be released under.
There's also rumours of blonded radio returning soon but who knows if that's true

does xl have the funds to promote this? seems like he wants to go all out
now that i think about it, he probably would want to work with a US indie label, reason i said XL first was that theyre known for giving artists creative freedom for whatever they wanna do which is probably one of the most important things for frank

Apparently the article i read said he wasnt discussing with major labels though

There isn't a single label in the world that exist that wouldn't give Frank creative control for a one off album deal.

this deal isn't about the music itself so things like creative control etc aren't variables here. This deal is for all the music industry internals that go into releasing an LP (promotion, marketing, distribution etc). My guess is the final terms will only depend on the previous. Frank will keep majority or all of the masters for this release (if they're even on the table) and instead will let the label take a percentage of streams/profits or something like that.
Besides this the label also gets bragging rights for releasing one of the most highly anticipated album follow ups in recent history. There isn't a single label that wouldn't want these bragging rights, meaning this deal could be one of the most lucrative in recent times too.
i know we’ve had this type of situation before, but sure feels like something is coming soon, whether that’s a new radio ep or single or w/e
just seems waaaay too in the public eye to be a coincidence
Frank dropping an album would literally make my entire year. I’d cry and I’m not even exaggerating.
would not hold my breath for a blonded radio show anytime soon lmfao those accounts dont know s***
AM always schedules 2 hours blocks for their apple music 1 list show
only way we'll know a show is on the way is if apple music tweets about it 2-3 hrs before like they did all the previous times
