Leak culture has become so common and normalized that we think artists are just supposed to be completely okay and fine with their life’s work being stolen and illegally released without their consent

Creating and releasing music is one of the most personal things a human being can do.

Leaking an artist’s work is the equivalent of leaking someone’s nudes online, it’s completely demoralizing

His job was releasing music and the privilege of releasing it himself got stolen from him before his career could officially begin, you don’t think that would affect his relationship with music moving forward?

just curious, in that 6 years of creation if Jai Paul wasn’t popular then, how did someone know to leak it? was he releasing music during that time & gaining a following that made him a target or was he off the grid?

He had officially released BTSTU in 2011 and Jasmine in 2012 and they were massive online amongst the blogs. His debut album was pretty anticipated and was set to release around 2014
