mind you he thinks this is some gotcha game
That’s why he’s playing these little “read my mind/guess my opinion” bullshit and he’s more worried about if we’re gonna catch him some dumb “gotcha” moment
AKA he doesn’t actually care and isn’t invested in this whatsoever
Thought this was about a streamer or something by the title wow

Why am I racist? I literally have not done anything itt to warrant
My blunt opinion is that no amount of time served is going to bring peace to the victim's family; but 35 years is long enough to where Karmelo can still come out with a life to live, and Austin's family can feel their son was given justice.
I do not believe Karmelo acted in self-defense, as, correct me if I'm wrong, but self-defense has to be proportional in order for it to be "self-defense".
I think 35 years is a proportionate sentence.
man these white people are always looking for a reason to get someone gone, even though it was self defense sometimes you gotta just brush that s*** off and keep it moving 🤦🏽♀️

and thats if they just "shoved" him out the way you know these cacs stay lying
What's hilarious is that y'all genuinely believe that this kid simply said "C-Could you puh-lese leave our tent sir?" when the kid's brother and other witnesses initially said he started grabbing and pushing Karmelo around and started threatening him.
I can't ever take y'all seriously because y'all can't ever be honest with yourselves.
In what f***in world is it cool to start harassing and threatening somebody to leave a tent during a track meet that they are apart of? Do y'all have any idea how f***in common and regular it is for kids to be tent hopping at track meets?
thats what im saying its no way they just "moved him out the way" like the news has been saying
ITS TEXAS

austin touched him unprovoked first and moved his belongings, again unprovoked, how is it not self-defense man lol?
did karmelo go way too far? yes. does karmelo deserve jail time? again, yes. nobody said karmelo is some saint. but to sit here and say he deserves 35 years is f***ing wild man. ive said this itt before, but knowing the good ol’ boys club that the collin county justice system is, there is no way you can tell me that sentence wasn’t racially motivated

Like I said correct me if I’m wrong (I’m being serious) bc it seems like you’re from Texas (I’m in NJ so our laws are much different here) but if it was gonna be deemed “self-defense” I thought the response needed to be proportionate to the threat that was being responded to
I’m really sorry if anything I said gave off weird vibes, but I really don’t understand how something like 35 years for literally killing someone is wild…what would be a better punishment for taking someone’s life?
The whole point mainly non-black people miss is this is situated within the historically racist and discriminatory American justice system
When just a few states over an Asian shopkeeper got off on chasing a black kid down from his store and shooting him dead in the back over a suspected WATER BOTTLE shoplift
this isnt a vacuum obviously in a perfect world Karmelo is dead wrong but black people are sick and tired of always being the exception to whatever BS legality the court decides on that makes our lives less valuable
So tired of uneducated POCs wanting to run some “both sides bad” shtick for white people and tired of yt people treating this like some isolated incident although the latter is to be expected
i see what you mean, but the kid had a firearm tho

Yeah the response needs to be proportionate to the threat that was being responded to. If Austin had a knife or gun , karmelo would have gotten self defense
watch chud the builder get a fraction of this
100m sure

austin was violent first, karmelo didn’t know where austin was gonna take it from there. stand your ground is tricky because you don’t know exactly how “proportionate” the response is to being attacked in the heat of the moment.
again, karmelo ain’t no saint, he should have used better emotional intelligence and just walked away, but we’ve all seen people get way less for as bad crimes
This case is complicated because Karmelo is clearly in the wrong, as far as I know i dont think Austin had any weapon on him or pose life threatening harm to Karmelo that warranted death as a form of self defense and I do think he deserves some time for this, but 35 is too much
And knowing the history of how white people be getting off easy in similar predicaments definitely hits a sore spot. I mean wrong is wrong but it still highlights how black people have to operate under different rules than their white counterparts.
