I dont think art should be admissible . i think its art and often if they are smart its a retelling that doesnt place guilt on them. yes in many cases it leads to them being monitored or leads to something that breaks them. How do many of the rappers and individuals have any form of upwards mobility if their content is only about legal practices? The record label isnt going to fund them rapping about politics, conscious, concept songs about a double cheeseburger, materials that the record execs arent directly invested in. I have seen tech jobs in many cases they dont want us there. We dont have direct control of any industry but unfortunately the streets allows many to be entrepeneurs. Jay Z, Pusha T and many rappers started on the streets then turned it into enterprises, brand deals, millions and billions with their voice. There are only so many Ye's where they stay out of legal trouble (referring to teh beginning) but eventually they are all doomed to go crazy because of what they see in the rich , hollywood circles. There isnt really a rapper trajectory where someone sees the horrors of poverty doesnt in some way get into crime or rap about it or be in proximity to it in some form.
