Slug back on the stand

They continued on the topic of the night of the Lil Wayne tour bus shooting, when he was performing in Atlanta. Slug said a bunch of YSL members attended that show, they were all fans.

The states line of questioning moved towards trying to get Slug to say Peewee Roscoe aka Jimmy Winfrey was locked up for shooting Wayne’s tour bus. They are asking about “Free Roscoe” t-shirts.

Slug refused to answer directly and started answering questions with “I don’t recall” or “It was a really long time ago”.

The state started pressing him to give an exact time frame for when YSL started but Slug refused to give a direct answer.

The state reminded Slug that he signed a plea deal and made him read the factual acknowledgments of his deal.

Slug got somewhat tripped up by the states question “can you explain the distinction between the gang Young Slime Life and Jeffery Williams record label?” giving somewhat conflicting answers but went back to “YSL was always about the music”

The state then asked Slug what the word “snitch” means to him. Slug replied he heard of the term but doesn't know what it means. The state continued to get Slug to say what snitch means to him but he continued to avoid the question.

The day is over, Slug will be back Monday.

No trial tomorrow.

Young Thug Trial: Day 3 of Trontavious Stephens on the stand.

"Which of these defendants in this courtroom right now are members of YSL, Young Slime Life the gang," prosecutor Adriane Love just asked.

"All of them," Stephens replied before naming each defendant present.

"Qua, Rod, other Qua, Thug, SB and Yak."

Slug's tone has changed from Friday and he's less evasive when it comes to answering questions.

"Do members of YSL call Jeffery Williams "King Slime"

"Yes."

"Is everything that YSL raps about make-believe?"

"I don't know."

"Is Martinez Arnold part of Young Slime Life gang"

"Yes."

When asked how he knows the people he confirmed (including the defendants) are members of YSL, the gang, he said “by association.”

“We all hang with each other.”

When asked how he knew YSL committed crimes in furtherance of the gang, Stephens said:

“I’m a member and I’ve done things to increase the notoriety and furtherence...” He said he sold d**** and carried illegal guns.

The DA is back after the break to trying to get Slug to admit the crimes that 2 other people committed as part of YSL furthered the gang.

He is currently attempting to say he was talking about a dead person named Darius Ford.

The DA calls out Thug for wearing his brand "SP5DER" to court. She asks Slug if the number 5 has any significance.

Young Thug's lawyer, Brian Steel, is up for cross-examination of Slug.

Stephens' mother died when he was 18 months old.
Growing up, he and Young Thug would put their money together and split a $3 value meal at McDonald's.

"We would all pitch in and split a meal. If we found 3 dollars we’d put three dollars together to get the McDonald’s meal."
