Judge Glanville sets Feb. 2 hearing on the state's request to prohibit the news media from recording/photographing witnesses

We're back after a week break.

Slug, co-founder of YSL who took a plea, is back on the stand today for continued cross-examination.

Steel shows the jury (and Slug) the video of Lebron James "wiping his nose" and yelling "SLIME".

Similarly, he also shows a video of Snoop Dogg throwing up Crip signs and cripwalking during his Super Bowl performance.

Steel also notes Snoop was wearing all blue, as Crips are known for, in the performance.

Slug testifies that THUG stands for Truly Humble Under God. Steel tried to ask him about what that meant to Thug, but the state objected.

With that, Steels cross examination is over.

Max Schardt, lawyer for SB aka Shannon Stillwell, is the next lawyer up for cross examination.

Schardt gets Slug to testify that when he sold d****, it was for PERSONAL gain. Only he benefitted, no one else. It was a personal crime, not a gang crime.

Slug also says that the gas stations they sold at weren't "YSL territory" because there would be multiple other people selling and there was nothing he could do about it.

Ms. D’Williams, defense lawyer for Lil Rod, comes up with a single question “You never hung out with Lil Rod before, right?” “Yes.”

Lil Rod is only mentioned 3 times in the entire 86 count indictment.

Mr. Matthews, lawyer for Huey / Quay, makes it clear to the jury that Slugs plea agreement makes it so that he is NOT allowed to say anyone in the courtroom is innocent, even if he believed it to be true.

The last defense lawyer, Mr. Weinstein for Yak Gotti, had Slug testify that Yak Gotti was not involved in any of the crimes in Slugs plea deal.

State is back up for re-direct.

She asks Slug if there’s any songs where Thug talks about being “Truly Humble Under God”.

Slug says he talked about it a lot on his last album Punk, and cites lyrics from the beginning of “Dropping Jewels”

Different cases

It was gonna be hard for prosecutors to pin that murder charge on YFN Lucci in that RICO case so he was offered a plea deal.

Thug has more serious charges and there's more evidence against him.

He also wasn't offered a plea deal by the State like Lucci

So Thug is gonna either be free or spend ALOT of time in prison.

what’s your thoughts on the rumors about the DA. if there’s validity you think it will effect the case ?

The rumors are serious and it looks there is evidence against her in the form of credit card records. So theres definitely some validity to the rumors.

She's going to a hearing on Feb 15 where she will be questioned.

If they disqualify her from the Trump case, then the case will just go to another prosecutor.

It shouldnt affect this YSL case but if she is disqualified and they find any wrong doing in this case as well, then it will also be picked up by someone else.

We'll see how everything plays out.

Most of today was the defense objecting to a bunch of things that the State brought up as evidence.

There were 2 other witnesses today other than Slug but they werent too important.

Slug is suppose to continue to testify.

The judge has cancelled court in the Young Thug case for tomorrow Wednesday. No real reason given.

Court will resume Thursday Jan. 25 at 10am EST.

Court has been cancelled for the rest of the week.
