The actors play on emotion very well, especially will, but often times feel like they are playing a caricature of themselves. The evil hood nigga mini boss he fights with at the beginning of ep1 felt like a joke but when will is frustrated about leaving it feels genuine. And then he goes to the garden party and acts like a complete goof. It's like a switch turns on and off when to crank up the drama or switch to humor

i definitely see that. i dunno i like the charm and goofy will.

this ain't the old show, and i went in not comparing the two, but i think, with the character of will in particular, they're trying to keep the personality. I think bro is doing a good job. He's not Will Smith, but he's doing his thing.
