It’s worth a watch if you like drama as a genre. It’s a little bit better than a BET series.
Trey being a chatty patty telling Carlton too much
Will needs to leave his ass on Philly

I’m really disappointed with some of y’alls comments on Tray. He was hands down the best part of the episode for me and it seemed like the complexity of his character flew over a lot of people’s heads.
What’s interesting to me is that in the first episode, we saw Will was a D1 athlete recruit in Philly with hella scholarships being offered and Tray was cool and supportive of all this. But here, Tray’s attitude with Will leaving Philly is a lot different bc of the circumstances.
Tray is a 17 year old kid dealing with PTSD. The ep makes it pretty clear. He got shot bc of a beef that his best friend started. Then, that same best friend immediately leaves to live an upper class life and says he has no plans to return while Tray is still stuck in the same place dealing with the consequences. you can’t tell me you wouldn’t be pressed if you were in his shoes
Calling him a snitch for talking to Carlton is weird to me. Carlton is Will’s family who he is living with. Tray had no reason to believe Carlton didn’t already know about the gun situation or that it would be wrong to tell him. And Carlton was explicitly asking him to go into detail about it
Having said that, I do think he was a poor friend in this episode but he’s not a one dimensional villain. Like Aunt Viv said, Will and Tray were both put in a really bad situation and they’re just handling it differently.
I give props to Will too because I actually think he was lowkey trying to put Tray on and expose him to the idea of a better life. If Tray had been more supportive and not let his trauma get the better of him, he could have eventually came out there to live with Will after high school. But this encounter slammed the door on that possibility. I doubt they’ll make up. And even if they do, s*** won’t be the same

there’s absolutely no circumstance that makes it ok to casually bring up such a delicate personal situation without any provocation
clown behavior

bro he was drunk, Carlton was manipulating him into it, and like I said according to him it was open information
And not only that, but that incident got him shot and nearly killed. It’s ridiculous to call him an a****** or a clown for wanting to talk about it

being drunk makes it even worse
you’re a liability now and can’t be trusted
Will can still have love for him but he can’t have him around
Mans said he's a liability and can't be trusted. LOL no wonder y'all don't have real friends. Was Will a liability and couldn't be trusted since he literally is the reason for all of this?

Trey willing agreed to join his friend. They were in that together
not even remotely comparable to not being able to hold your liquor and gossip about your friend like a hoe

Bruh he joined his friend because that's his friend. He did not want to play that game. Will even volunteered for him to be a dopeboy if they lost. What are you talking about?

You’re literally proving my point
It was HIS choice to join his friend, so at the end of the day he’s just as much at fault for being there as Will
Whether he wanted to be there or not is irrelevant, they were in that situation together

Alright bru, you got it. Like I said, I see why y'all don't have friends lol
