Hate to be that guy but I heard tons of Blacks and Hispanics literally tell me that they preferred Cole over Kendrick solely because of voice and delivery, especially females.

But it all boils down to preference. Kendrick still sells well so his voice is very much in demand.

Maybe the feeling I’m trying to articulate is wrong but I feel like his Self Titled,Overgrown and The Colour In Anything just feel like,idk,like their from another dimension cause really,those three albums were so far ahead of their time but I don’t think people understand that and the music doesn’t fit in with anything made today.

A lot of the reason for the gap is mental health stuff so if that is figured out I think he’ll release every 2-3 years

I think what matters more for it being regarded as all time is him growing more popular
He’s not influential like someone like Thug or Doom so he’s never really gonna get a lot of recognition as that important of an artist without being more popular
Kendrick not being on TDE might help tho
