this still an 8/10 imo and I love the story, art direction and music
Just wish the combat and character systems were more like elden ring or bloodborne, it felt a bit tedious at times to do all the repetitive parrying and countering when necessary based on the particular boss or mini-boss or enemy
you can approach combat in different ways, ranged combat with bows, bombs, etc. stealth felt better because of that too, it’s not just a series of pressing parry or counter whenever they do a move
also you could find and equip different charms for your weapon to get unique bonuses so there was good customizability. and doing certain quests to find different bows or swords was satisfying imo it made me wanna do quests
and there’s 4 different battle stances that give you variety in melee combat, it just feels sekiro makes you play a certain way and just sort of focus on deflecting and countering
sounds like an rpg

Im playing, i fw GoT heavy, played on lethal too. GoT is basically Ubisoft formula perfected and I’d probably rate it over Sekiro too but the boss fights in Sekiro blow GoT out the water
There are builds in GoT though you can literally create Saved builds depending on your armor and charm bonuses

I’d probably rate them both 8/10, I think ghost of Tsushima has its problems too, but its combat I much prefer over sekiro personally
they both have epic boss fights tbh they’re very stylish and cinematic in ghost but there’s more crazy fantasy creatures and interesting enemy design in sekiro so they both do well in different regards
I like the adventure and questing in sekiro because there’s a lot of mystery in how little handholding there is, whereas ghost is more straightforward and modern.
both games have excellent writing, music and beautiful visuals so they’re matched evenly in a lot of ways too

Fair takes. Personally GoT boss battles were underwhelming even though some of them were cinematically incredible, because you lose access to half your abilities and things that make the gameplay diverse. Think it would have been interesting to have boss fights where you slink in and out of stealth to deal chunks of damage, which brings you back into the “duel” mode, and then fighting there before retreating back out and repeating, with interesting stealth challenges like reinforcements.
Also hope GoT2 adds some complexity to towns/outposts and more verticality. One thing FromSoft always does well in their game designs is verticality. Fighting/traveling on the Shinto rooftops in Sekiro was so sick conceptually and visually
Remember spamming the absolute f*** out of that parry button to get through the game after dying to Genichiro a good hunnid times. Game was a breeze afterwards.

Sony does list Ghost as an RPG
Sony does list Ghost as an RPG
It says action-adventure on PlayStation store page and Wikipedia
PlayStation: “ Uncover the hidden wonders of Tsushima in this open-world action adventure from Sucker Punch Productions and PlayStation Studios, available for PS5 and PS4.”
honestly I hope ghost 2 is more of an rpg though, would be dope to have stats and builds in that game, and more robust dialogue systems as well like a dialogue tree tbh

Search by RPG on PS5 and it's there.

eh the search function isn’t as solid as how Sony and the devs describe the game itself, it’s clearly action-adventure even if they didn’t call it that, which they did, so kind of a moot point. I hope we get a ghost of tsushima 2 that’s more like an rpg one day but that’s just me
I’m replaying it and enjoying this a lot more the 2nd time tbh, just spent like 10 hours playing it lol

Ima be honest I bought it on release and hated it, never got farther than hirata estate
but I gave it another try like a year or two ago and finally found my rhythm

Lmao history is repeating itself ITT
still the hardest fromsoft game for me. over the past two years i've beaten ds1-3, bloodborne 2x and elden ring and this is only fromsoft game where i feel like my inputs are being heavily read. i'm not sure if it's actually happening or if it's just a side effect of the animations and movesets but it sure feels like it's happening.
i just reinstalled for the 2nd time and decided to start a fresh play through after not finishing the 20-something hour one i had. i remember i was stuck on lady butterfly for so long and i never ended up beating her, but i just beat her on my 2nd try on my new play through

I felt like input reading was at its highest on Elden Ring
i uninstalled again
i think i just gotta accept that this one ain't for me even if it's considered great by so many people

Just watch a lite walkthrough bro you’ll get the hang of it it’s really not that tough fr

even though i think it's hard it's not really a difficulty problem. i know i could beat it if i put the time in, i just don't really enjoy the combat and gameplay loop as much as their other games to justify putting in the time. i have 30 hours in it and it's obv not gonna click at this point. i don't have anything bad to say about it, it's just not for me i guess
So close to doing this man
!https://youtu.be/figArXQYKaoJust allow yourself time to adjust to the learning curve, most rewarding game I've ever played and nothing compares to the feeling of conquering it
It's 2nd only to BB on my list of soulsborne games, having clocked them all
Real for sharing a Limmy clip though
