That Liam Neesan moment might possibly be the best subversion of the series so far. They framed it like a meta wink and nod moment of him apologizing, only to pull the wool at the last minute.
“Who owns the masters” has a different kind of meaning when you tie it to slavery. And idk if that was intended by Donald or if it was strictly music talk
1000% wasn't just music
Everyone saying this a sequel to Woods but how nobody catch this is a sequel to BAN????
Cancel club….
Trans woman…
ngl its a bit of a stretch? but if its true and there was no Lorraine and its just his subconscious then it makes sense to tie his self-doubt to some sort of internalized transphobia? my s*** sounds like a stretch too now that I think of it lol

mr fantastic tier stretch
thats like saying cancer attack is a sequel to the pilot since in the pilot that white dude says the n word and in cancer attack socks almost says it

They’ve knocked it out the park on this season, I cannot lie

This and the Chet Hanks cameos where they blur the line between real and fiction have been so f***ing hilarious and well done
for a show that is so dedicated to making everything feel like disconnected vignettes, even in regards to character arcs, I feel like something that’s gone under the radar this season is that Earn has become almost insanely competent at his job and that’s kinda heartwarming to see considering where he was in S1
if he was being fr about Al owning his masters that’s insane

Folks noticed it a lot

earn became really good at what he's doing but I feel like he had to basically disassociate and just work 24/7 to survive, and its exactly what he was so afraid of back when he was broke
think s01e03, 'I'll become someone I hate at a job like this' when talking about some soulless security job. it's not super different from his current situation because aside from obvious benefits he became just as soulless to people around him. id say its definitely on Al for (not for nothing) giving him such a hard time back in s02. Earn is now babysitting Al and that just might be another point of tension for them
this is some A tier writing yall f*** is you on about s***ting on this season you fools
Great episode. Always felt like Woods is overrated but this was just better in every way imo
That DaBaby joke
I feel like I've seen that guy dressed as a dalmatian before
Probably the 2pac episode? Or earlier in this one? I just felt like I'd seen that costume before when he showed up
Also makes me think of season 1 finale, Earn walking down the street and sees a bunch of people dressed as cows. Here in Europe, they all wearing Goofy hats
So much to unpack in this episode. Lorraine saying some cancel worthy s*** to Paper Boi in that museum. "Chanel is for women" said by a transgender
She's the one who takes him to Cancel Club (and we know the types that usually advocate for celebs to be canceled on Twitter). Al possibly displaying some body insecurity when he asks whether he has to get naked at that spa, Earn has to get him naked to change his clothes
Such a great episode. Might be my favorite of the season so far, this is pretty much exactly what I want this show to be

This might be where I remember the dalmatian from
best episode of the season so far for me. trippin in europe was a good foundation to the narrative they went with around internal questioning, cancel culture etc
Didn't think of that.
But this episode also has parallels to Woods
Al was chased by a dangerous group of dudes because they recognize who he is (btw Al probably has PTSD from the season 2 attack, which is why he panicked so much while he was being chased)
Al confronts his insecurities while alone and lost, and both times his mother's precense is felt
Nah it definitely parallels Woods for sure, I’m just surprised no one connected it to BAN as well

Nah ion think it’s a stretch when it comes to Atlanta. Especially since he was high so you never know if he imagined her or not
mr fantastic tier stretch

Wait what? How’s it a stretch? In BAN he made insensitive comments about trans people that could get him cancelled. Now he’s being taken to a cancel club by a trans woman. That’s not a coincidence bro…

Earn saying “you do” was a great moment
