Does anybody give af about Van and Earn’s storylines anymore? Their character arcs are pretty much dead

Zazie had like six minutes of screen time this season and Earn is only interesting when he’s with Al and Darius

I’m still interested but I have no expectations that the next episode/finale will have any sort of satisfying resolution to their stories this season

episode was fire. just finished it and I’m still trying to process that ending 😂

first I was thinking it was a good thing that Aaron managed to embrace his black identity but his reunion with Kate ultimately showed that dude hasn’t changed. getting locked up for a year is his claim to blackness

the Kevin Samuels character was also interesting in showing how even well-intentioned Black people who genuinely want to nurture our community and look out for other Black folks can be very short-sighted in determining peoples blackness. it was dope of him to give out scholarships but the way he treated the Nigerian kid was terrible lol

i agree with you that the one-offs are fire, I actually find them more thought-provoking and engaging than the regular ones. “Three Slaps” is still the best episode of TV I’ve seen this year

but tbh Donald should have just created a whole other show to explore all of this stuff. it’s like there are two really great TV shows within this one 10-episode season and I feel deprived of both of them, if that makes sense
