some shows i like the slow burn like a better call saul

this one though i binged the s*** outta s1 and s2 before s3 aired and it just felt so nice to see all the connections and s***

lol i love this show

i came out of this episode laughing but feeling like it didn’t say much. then i thought about it and talked about random stuff with my girlfriend, and our convo ended up circling back to a lot of the themes this episode was addressing.

what’s amazing about this show is how much gets said without saying much

for every scene that’s obvious what the message is, there’s a dozen other conversations being started in one episode alone

i’m actually glad they took on this lighter tone for the episode, they struck a balance between that feeling of horror and normalcy in each episode

im really glad they went full horror with three slaps tho. makes every anthology’s episode ending feel a bit more grounded

also noticed how all the anthology episodes except big payback end with one of their main characters staring into the camera (yes ik three slaps ends with bino, but the last shot of the anthology world / non atlanta world, is def of the kid staring into the camera)

like at least say « don’t take the show too deep, you’ll miss out on the fun of just watching it » which i think is true. the depth of the show is beautiful to unravel but i like just laughing along to the dark comedy of the show

they wouldn’t have spent that kind of money to film one episode in france lol

we got the least amount of shots of france and paris in the promo. the majority of the shots we got were in amsterdam, and budapest episode could easily been filmed anywhere in the world considering it was strictly interior shots.

im convinced this last episode will at least be 45 minutes

if they out do what they did in new jazz, and bring all that to van’s character in paris ? we’re in for a certified season finale classic

that album was a genuine reflection of who he was in his younger years and it was a trial run for a lot of the themes that he has been exploring on this show

i hear you but i see it as a creative consequence to some major problems they had while filming / producing

trying to get these four big stars back on screen together at the same time across multiple countries ???? damn near impossible im surprised they got the episodes they did with the main cast.

as much as i wanted tho see the paperboi EU tour, i can 100% understand why they took the route they did. i can tell that there was production problems, whether it be scheduling, creative differences, etc that forced the writers to say we need to split this season up with these anthology episodes

i understand ur frustration, i feel similar, but i try not to think of it as “we got robbed of two diff tv shows” as much as “this is such a creative season, coming off a global pandemic and the upward trajectory of the main casts careers” u feel me?
