This was easily one of the weakest episodes of the show for me personally, Van’s story arc this episode did nothing for me

Skaarsgard was the highlight for me

I think the post credit scene went over my head. Who was the white guy named Earn? The guy who shot himself at the hotel?

Yeah, he's the guy from the boat in the first episode and from the hotel in that episode.

Haven't seen the third season. Was waiting for it to wrap up. What didn't work for you without getting into spoiler s***

I think this would of been interesting if the whole season was an anthology series with them watching it on the plane of something while the episodes with the cast in them could of been its own season. Kind of like how the first promo for Atlanta was right after "The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story" finale with them just reacting to it.

I could see how and why people wouldn't f*** with this season, but it's by far my favorite Atlanta season and unless BCS goes crazy this is the year's best show

    surrealism done perfectly

season wasn’t terrible like I’ve seen some people claim it to be. episodes have been worthwhile for a 30 min slot. season premiere was my favourite of the season

I honestly think the episode is easier to f*** wit as a stand alone. But when you a fan of the show and realize how much of a stretch it is that’s when it becomes meh

In retrospect, the character building all the way through season 1 and 2 is now a bit lame after all the time skips and new stories being told. I guess we learnt quite a bit about Al at points but all the time off has hurt the show as a whole up to now.

Not to say it hasn’t been a good watch cause it has, especially a couple of the anthology episodes but there is a real weird feeling where I don’t feel like I know Earn, Darius and Van anymore

I feel like s3 might hit harder after s4

    Agree

It was super entertaining just not in context of the show if that makes sense

I really been crushing on Van in the wig all day today though

this season was 10/10 imo but it's sad that it's the second to last season. def wish there were 5 seasons total, and feel like it would be easier for people to take these random eps if we had more szns.

also the only real issue with the season is what Donald said about comparing it to sopranos but that was outside of the show so ima let it slide cause i never took it seriously anyways lol

  • Super hard episode

I liked the finale a lot. I thought it was entertainingly meta how the audience has been wondering "what is Val doing" and instead of going the character study route of seeing her struggle with these feelings of depression and trying to find herself we're thrown right into the most ludicrous situation imaginable of Val in Europe

I'd rather see that than Val thoughtfully looking out a train window or her and Earn reuniting and finally talking about everything while walking through historic landmarks. the unpredictability and absurdness is what makes this show fun and unique

we'll see how they do season 4 but this season being a kind of fever dream and random telling of events and oddities worked for the Europe trip imo. like this is a strange time in their lives that's separated from their normal Atlanta reality
