Y'all got all this heat for Van, meanwhile Earn got a innocent man put in jail for a gun charge, indirectly drove a kid into suicide and scammed his way into free hotel service.
The only one you can mention is the innocent man put in jail, that was f***ed up and we discussed it. But as f***ed up as it was at least there was some type of logical reason behind it, it doesn't make it right at all but at least it wasn't just "hey I'm gonna start chopping up human hands now and serve it to ppl"
You can't compare the Fubu s*** nigga was a f***in kid getting bullied and didn't know that would happen
and don't say "scammed his way into free hotel service" as if that's in anyway comparable. Ya'll niggas really say anything to try and justify this b**** f***ery
On second thought, Earn put the gun in Clark County bag and then Clark county told his manager (innocent man) to take the charge. Didn't Clark county get the engineered killed? or severely beat up because his computer messed up during the studio session? Yeah we can't call Clark innocent
isn't it obvious to people that the episodes are basically not connected anymore?
they said they wanted to make a show where each episode is a different story, that's what they've done, hence why there was no mention of clark county this season
they wont mention vans second life next season either and that's fine. was a fun episode

clark county died, they did showcase that
and van is a main character, why ya'll keep comparing main characters to random characters to justify bad characterization?

I'm not trying to "justify" it at all, I do think it's messed up. My critique is that y'all reactions to this is way too literal and face value for an episode that is clearly playing on surrealism and the absurd.
I'm just saying that this kind of stuff isn't too unprecedented, for Van or the other characters on the show.
I understand that but I also feel similar to Darius leaching off Al (not being thankful to him too) in new jazz and leaving him alone in the middle of an intense trip, of course van was extreme in the Finale and that you look at her different now because of what we expect from her. so I get that, show makes you dislike the characters we romanticize in a way and I like that, I get what you mean tho
That’s not out of Darrius’ character though. He’s always been selfish.
What the hell is going on

lol you can just say that then, bringing up irrelevant things about earn to compare makes it seem like you justifying.
regardless of how absurd ya'll wanna call it no other main character has do anything remotely close to Vans actions

to a degree yes, one could argue that Darius has also been open minded, thoughtful and had try to help out people, even if it doesn’t go right and backfires. a day one kind of person
new jazz highlighted to me the fact that Darius may be selfish but also not as trustworthy as I thought before and I found that interesting
if we aren't suppose to care about Vans actions due to "the shows absurd" then why should we care about any of the main characters? We might as well just be watching the show for the hell of watching it if investing into the characters is out the question

I didn't get an untrustworthy vibe, what made you think that?

i think it was Lorraine telling Al
“Where does your money go?” Or something like that, and I thought perhaps this was a warning of Darius. Considering all the paying Al did for Darius coffees and space cakes etc, but we could also say this for earn because of owning masters etc.
Also Darius just leaving Al on an intense trip, but perhaps that’s just plot so we could have the whole narrative. Darius is a fascinating character and I felt like I couldn’t trust him in new jazz.
But he also created a playlist for the trip, one could argue how thoughtful he was too

Thing is darius didn't leave him, they both kinda wandered they own ways, especially Al cus he got scared of the fans. Plus Al said he wasn't high at all yet, so it wasn't "Intense" at that point.
Darius definitely didn't ditch him on some untrustworthy s***, sometimes niggas get split up from the group. Happens all the time at coachella
darius is definitely the most trustworthy character, he's just quirky and sometimes be too lost in his own world
van and earn are the least trustworthy
I wouldnt even put earn and van on the same level anymore
Van eating hands and s*** is a better reality than her f***ing Darius i was gonna be pissed if they did that
Imma be real
I didn't like this season, feels like we waited for years just to watch somebody else
It would be cool if Season 4 comes out in like 2 years or something
4 years ain't it
This feels bad and completely botched, did they not know what to do with the characters except racism is bad?

S4 suppose to be coming out end of this year

thank u
i get it not being the perfect episode, or rational but it reflects so much of van’s insecurities as a woman, mom, friend, etc
perfect acting too
we had black justin briber in s1 i feel like it’s been confirmed anything goes in this show lol
