rewatch the van episodes and the finale makes so much more sense
idk why viewers are reluctant to suspend their sense of disbelief for the finale!!!
it’s playful, it’s funny, it’s scary, it’s got every thing the show has been doing, done in an crazy setting considering the plot of the show
it’s goofy and just a little campy but it embraces all that to make a powerful statement about the state of mind van is in
i think van and earns relationship has always been one of my favorite parts of the show and this moment feels so cathartic if you’ve been invested in her struggle for identity
Yupppp

I could suspend my disbelief… until they got to the cannibalism s***. that was the show trying to be quirky for the sake of it and it didn’t land well
the breakdown about Lottie didn’t work for me either. still don’t understand how she magically “forgot” her daughter when Earn and her folks were blowing her phone up the whole time.
it’s also hard for me to care about Van’s journey as a mother because the show itself doesn’t even care about Van’s journey as a mother. they turned her into an enigma to service a broad theme instead of constructing a real arc for her and the s*** just didn’t land for some
Might start my rewatch tonight. Then I'll rank my top 10 Atlanta episodes before season 4 premieres
YOOOO i just now realized Erica from Stranger Things was in Atlanta.
Season 1 Episode 2

So soon
Did not expect this to come out this SOON but Dam def gotta finish this up with the roomies when it comes out weekly. Gonna miss seeing all of the them together but hopefully this ending means Donald will drop more music
im convinced the paris episode is gonna be van's episode and it's gonna be probably the episode with the most narrative consequences for earn (and possibly al and darius too)
Wow
I got to watch season 3
Currently on my Atlanta rewatch, and I'm watching Juneteenth right now
Honestly this episode feels like it could fit in season 3
season 1 was fire
season 2 was really bad
and i gave up on season 3
on what earth is season 2 bad lmfao jesus christ
