    Won’t even argue that
I would’ve preferred it if the anthology s*** was a spin-off show taking place in the Atlanta universe

Season 3 glover and his writers kinda got up their own ass

    I still enjoyed it tho

Fax, see that would’ve been perfect. Make that bs a spin-off

Do you think it’s designed to speak on his character of always trusting people to leave his valuable items with them? Cus it seems to be a pattern we’ve heard about 3 times now: The Jacket, The Laptop and The Suit

Good point about The Jacket. I forgot about that one. I’m long overdue for a rewatch bc I don’t fully remember that ep. But didn’t he lose his jacket after a night of being f***ed up at the club? If so, he didn’t really put his trust in the wrong person so much as make a careless mistake that lots of folks who party make, which makes it a little different. There wasn’t a specific person to blame in that scenario other than himself for getting drunk

But I think losing things in general was a particularly big deal to Earn in S1-S2 and before the show bc he just didn’t have much in the way of valuable things to begin with

It just seems like S1 and S2 of the show Donald was coming in very passionate about it, and excited.

You can tell they took their time with the writing, and the plot line, he was eager to get his first show.

As we got to S3 and it just seemed so cliche and actually try hard at some points, I’m willing to bet in a few years once the dust settles Donald himself will admit they somewhat dropped the ball.

The show lost a lot of its early magic, but I get it, it was his first show, he was excited. He’ll probably take his time with his next one even more, it’ll probably be way better as well

No Way Mr and Mrs smith is better than this gtfoh

I really love the detail of having Lisa's name spelled incorrectly so they had to fix it afterwards

Just another funny and petty detail that Earn added to the whole plan considering she gave him a bunch of trouble for Van's name being spelled wrong

    What name is “Li_a”?

Hey man I love this show as much as the next man, it’s pretty much all I’ve been thinking about since I started watching it again. But to say it’s up there with BB is wild

    Just no my nigga

It’s better than Breaking Bad lmao

I fw BB but it’s one of the most overrated shows of all time. It didn’t do anything that other tv shows before it like The Sopranos and The Wire hadn’t already done better. Atlanta isn’t perfect but it’s a work of art and there’s truly nothing else like it on TV. same can’t be said for BB

My theory is Al kills Earn when he finds out

"I aint seen you since my momma died, and the first thing you talk about is let's get rich"

Something crazy is going to happen. I think Al going on the scavenger hunt is going to wake him up. And what Blueblood’s wife was saying to him about how nobody showed up to celebrate his life, it was very ominous.

I just didn’t want to say anything but yeah, I think that’s the case. There’s no f***ing way he’s getting that much money off of 15%. No way in hell.

I can’t quite figure out how Darius plays into this but his part will be pivotal as well.

Interesting that y’all believe Earn is snaking PB about his masters. I feel like the tension in Earn and Al’s relationship was already explored beautifully in season 2. If the two fell out again this season, it would seem like a bit of a rehash imo

I don’t think Earn was lying to Al in New Jazz about his masters but I think the reason why it’s easy to assume so is because Earn’s overall demeanor is so different in S3-S4.

In S1-S2, Earn was portrayed as a pretty sensitive, empathetic person. He was the type of dude who tried to get a room of hardened ATL niggas to realize that sexuality was a spectrum. When Al and Darius had that mysterious beef in Alligator Man, Earn kept trying to get them to open up and explicitly said that he loved them both. But I feel like that Earn is gone, with the turning point being the season 2 finale

In S3-S4, Earn is a lot colder and distant. But I don’t think it’s bc he’s a shady mf now. He just had to become that way in order to succeed at what he was doing. We see his heart is still there in places, like his concern for Van in S3. And even after pulling off his scheme in this latest episode, he still considers going back to therapy at the end.

Earn is definitely a lot more ruthless now but I just don’t think he’s this cold-hearted mf y’all making him out to be. But I guess we’ll see…

I feel like Glover doesn’t get enough credit for how natural of an actor he is. going from Troy Barnes to Earn to Teddy Perkins is just crazy. often times, I see people complain that he’s just playing himself on here but he’s not, he’s just that believable

Black comedic actors never get credit for s***. Even Eddie doesn’t get his proper due.

y’all think he was acting here? to get outta therapy

no. Earn wasn’t forced to go to therapy. he explicitly tells the therapist he’s not coming back a little later in the ep. he was being authentic there
