so certain people having these weird fixations on one particular character over-analyzing some events a season ago that would be written off as throwaway gags for pretty much any other main character in the show except this one in particular AND also that character being a woman sits right with you?
def one of the most beautiful
might pack up and go on a hike this weekend all alone because of it
i dont find their relationship interesting
Haven’t seen it yet but I feel the same way
Their relationship has never been compelling to me
Work ethic was a great episode but I cant help but think about the S3 finale and all the weird unnecessary s*** Van was doing, it goes against her whole protective nature in this episode cus essentially she left Lottie behind to go sell human hands and meth
That s*** is lowkey non cannon to me like nothing about that even made sense lmao

Lmao facts!
If the S3 finale didnt exist, this ep would be consistent with them a lot more. His romantic dance and hotel stay with her in Europe shook him up to the reality of what he wanted. And her identity crisis could've had its resolution here too.
She was putting him at a distance bc she knew he wouldn't let her in. But with the therapy episode, Earns been working up the courage to let her in for a while now.
Comes full circle. Shows so f***ing good.

Nah theyre two great parents with struggling identities and trust issues. Feels very real. And they were always (hopefully) going to finally find resolution with those issues when they woke up to each other.

Even more reason why I hate the s3 finale
The growth in that last episode was so beautiful I almost could’ve cried
Earn went from not being able to say I love you back in the first episode to the opposite in this one and in the first episode he talks about dreaming about a girl and now he dreams about van
Also the show shows them as great parents honestly and I liked the writing a lot too the whole tent argument sounds like something a couple would be passive aggressive about irl
Atlanta has the best viewers to have discourse about the show with out of any show Ive stanned besides maybe the wire

ngl bcs/bb was a lot of fun to discuss but i can understand why u feel this way
Just realized it’s the only episode that doesn’t have the Atlanta title card because they’re leaving it behind
