Honestly as long as the show doesn’t end up being some timeloop, dream or a hallucination, I’m cool with the ending not really being an ending
I’m cool with it being anything lol
I've already accepted the finale will most likely be divisive and it won't answer any major questions we have about the show. It also won't fill the plotholes
You just gotta accept Atlanta for what it is, and realize the show doesn't care about fan service or trying hard to satisfy all audiences.
The showrunners have a unique vision for the show and I'm just along for the ride

What kind of questions are you thinking won’t be answered? The shows pretty loose… there’s not much to follow up on.

-How did Clark County die
-What happened to Socks
-Any more details or backstory about Darius' life
-The reoccurring mentions and imagery of hands
-Van addressing everything she did in France
I know there are more unanswered questions that I can't think of right now, but I full expect for none of the questions to not be answered.
And that's fine with me
And I'm sure episodes 9 and 10 will also raise more questions
Edit: also if the anthology episodes take place in the main timeline

I don't think Atlanta is that type of show... we don't need answers to any of those questions.
I'm betting we don't even see Earn and Van again.

I know lol, thats why I said I'm not expecting them to answer those questions
The show will always create more questions than answers . I just know the finale won't wrap up all loose ends and character arcs in a nice bow and make all viewers happy.
It'll be an ending that some will love and some will be like "...that's it?"

oh my bad, lol. misread. full agree on the "...that's it"
like Darius just walking off into the sunset or something.
It doesn't have to be perfect. But I would like them to have happy endings.
The shows never had a bad ending for them really. Bittersweet at most.
The only thing bad that I thought might happen is Al getting shot but they finished that arc.
It'll be Earn leaving to LA probably.
Would like to see one last Darius episode but I think that's over.
I'd would really love if the finale was a Darius episode
There are scenes in the season trailer of Darius in like a salon and that episode hasn't happened yet so potentially that may be the last one
This is a stretch but I'd love to see Ahmad White in the show again
Other than that, I really don't mind how they wrap it up. I'm not expecting closure or a send-off feeling at all, it'll be Sopranos like imo. And I don't necessarily mean the ambiguous ending, more like the show just ends without it feeling like a finale

not a single one of those needs to be brought back
van addressing what she did in France

Bruh im not saying they need to be addressed. I literally said im not expecting the show to address them.
All im saying is they are unanswered questions and plotlines
And Van was commiting horrible felonies in France , that would weigh on the conscious of most people
Me: I'm not expecting the show to resolve these plothholes, and thats fine
This thread: wtf bro the show isn't gonna resolve these plotholes
Like I know lol, thats what I said
I’m surprised people hate season 3
id put it under season 1 but just barely imo

WAIT
I have an idea of what each season means but because I’m watching this show rn for the first time, idk if these takes are fresh or not
I get Atlanta’s super poignant messages like these and it’s great they don’t conform to regular television rules, I’m just curious on how the team decides to put an episode like this right before the penultimate and finale of their show.
All I want atp is some sort of follow up on the season 3 finale post credits
I know everything else is up in the air

Doubtful that this will happen tbh. I think that was just there to say that Earn was becoming white with his success and needed to change/break that down and let people in.
Not to spoil stuff but my theory (just based off what i remember from the trailer):
Next episode is all Al. Most likely very dramatic based on the teaser.
Final episode will be mostly Darius, but will have all 4 in a pink car at some point iirc. The scene with Earn in a car while kids try to sell him water will also prob be in that one. Most likely a very surreal comedy ep.
greatest episode of the show yet, honestly coulda been a series finale but that’s a little too on the nose lmao
