I wasn't saying he was doing it on purpose lol, more so just the fact of the matter is that yes, waiting four years to do something radically different is a slap in the face to casual fans who wouldn't have known it was finished in 2019

Idk, for someone as smart as he is, it seems like Gambino lacks self awareness to really be hurt by those criticisms because I can almost guarantee you that most of the negative critiques from that season is because of timing. (Both the meta of it being delayed, on top of some of the race topics kinda falling flat given to the racial awareness that was brought up summer of 2020)

Season 3 was f***in lit and worth the wait don't get me wrong, but I can legit see why people had a problem with it instead of blindly defending it.

Season 4 wouldn't have worked if it came after season 2 though

the tyler perry episode crazy as hell, bro really making black peoples struggles all seem like reality television. social media is in general

Donald definitely could’ve used ktt for music when mentioning how to stay up to date with stuff

god man it was a swing and a miss of a season to a lot of people for a lot of understandable reasons why is he acting like it’s some crime for black people not to f*** w it

he’s acting like nobody gave him deserved acclaim for going left like Teddy Perkins, Woods, and B.A.N aren’t some of the show’s most acclaimed episodes

I know he won’t let the reception make him not push his experimentation further, those episodes were really intriguing and entertaining regardless, it’s just most people didn’t know what to say about those episodes except how confused they were

Atlanta has made me cringe at every other black related or produced content that isn’t trying to be this relatable to actual black people and not the hollywood/LA types

so many character relationships in this show i think we’ve all experienced

superb televsion, s3 a classic season for me because of the leap they made. I always admire risk takers
