its just cause everyone was comparing the two when dave came out. Dave was clearly heavily influenced by atlanta from they way the title card appears in a different environment every episode to the way its written, etc.

If atlanta was chappelles show, dave would be key and peele. good on its own but just doesnt compare to its inspiration

I’d say it’s 1 tier down. It definitely ain’t elite tier with Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Wire, and The Leftovers. Atlanta could inch into that space tho.

This is a show that can go on for 8 years and not be the least bit boring.

However, all the stars are extremely famous and it must've been a b**** to get them in there to film anything. Donald probably knew he had to get it all out quick, plus he wanted to move on to other s***. But if he wanted and the cast was cool with it. They could film this forever. The style is still too clean.

I have to wait until I see it all before I can judge it with every other show but there's just something so fresh about this show. I don't think I've seen anything quite like it. It's high tier s***.

I can understand that. It's still a great show. I just had my expectations too high with all the hype.

I do believe Atlanta can be in a goat tier. We have to see how it all plays out considering we have only seen about half of the total episodes that will ever come out. Which is exciting considering I still think this is the best show on TV today.
