Love Cudi and always will but to an extent I agree with this but I also sympathize with him doing this. He missed out on really being huge cause of personal choices so now I think he’s trying to make up for those years instead of targeting people that grew up with his stuff.

As you gain more life experience and exposure to new things, your interests will change. New things will challenge/excite you. This can apply to the art you enjoy. I’d argue that Sahbabii & Carti may not be more “mature” artists, but are definitely more interesting and less cookie-cutter than Travis so that would tick more boxes for someone that’s getting bored of Travis

That being said I think the best artist that actually grew with his fanbase was Tyler tbh and that’s why he’s also lost a lot of those OF white kids thankfully

Sometimes, an artist can blow up in the prime of your life and their music resonates with you at that time.

But, when you get older and life starts to decline for you, you start to look at that artist's music differently and it doesn't resonate for you as much as it did.

That being said, this also means you were more of a casual fan of the artist to begin with. A true fan doesn't "outgrow" an artist they truly like.
