whole thread full of terrible takes but this is the worst lmao, if she was promised residuals that’s scummy for the label not to deliver, especially if she wasn’t paid much up front and the residuals were supposed to even that out, which it sounds like that’s how they got her

Bro. Its a photo. There are producers who produce and mix and master and never see a cent of residuals. Wtf did she expect from 1 photo for an album cover. If her legal team had any recourse they would have a case but hey if she didn't have a contract thats her own fault. It's just business and end of the day its a photo. Not such a masterpiece either

For an album like this, which definitely sold a ton of vinyl and was displayed prominently in stores for a while, that somewhat iconic artwork is actually pretty important.

Well it's a good thing I personally know two actors irl who were on Atlanta who still have not been paid either.
Already gave my spiel on this, and lean on this situation more being on the label and/or production company to handle people getting paid than it is on Donald Glover. But this is now the third time I've heard about a Black woman apart of a Glover project not getting paid, or their payment being delayed longer than two years.
Donald Glover my guy, but this not the kinda reputation you want on you. Bruh gotta sort that out, or reach out to whoever is supposed to sort that out.
