they were in the first episode
lmao
Final season deserves ALL the hate
Horrendous stuff don't let no one tell you any different lmao
“When they began the TV series, I had four books already in print, and the fifth one came out just as the series was starting in 2011. I had a five-book head-start, and these are gigantic books, as you know,” Martin told PBS in Chicago. “I never thought they would catch up with me, but they did. They caught up with me and passed me.”
While the show was on the air, Martin managed to publish just one volume in the series.
Martin also noted that when the television series moved ahead of his source material, he felt it “going in somewhat different directions. So, I’m still working on the book, but you’ll see my ending when that comes out,” he said.

Someone said I was just mad that it was over when I told em season 8 was f***ing trash
There are people out there who defend that crap lmao. It's not even that idfw with the direction it took, it's just that the pacing got even weirder from season 7. Won't even get into the writing

People who are saying that he is lying and only saying this because of bad reception are ignorant of the situation. DnD left many plot points out of their series that are in the books and changed some others.
The show was already starting to go into a different direction and GRRM wasn't too thrilled about it and stopped working with them in the later seasons.
Now the blame does fall on him for taking this long in the first place though.

Fr first 2 eps or so I was like "this isn't so bad were ppl overreacting?" But from the moment the night king randomly dies without any kind of explanation of why he's after the boy, his motivations or anything the whole damn season from there plays out as if you re simulating your season in 2k. S*** was a JOKE
One thing that stayed consistent and never disappointed throughout the show was the music. This one was my favorite

Currently rewatching again
Man this show has so many GOAT moments
Also started a rewatch...finished episode 9 today

Mannnn that episode still hits so f***in hard
Can someone explain to me why GoT fans have turned on this show after the final season, but other shows with similar season receptions had wildly different outcomes? i.e Dexter, FNL (Season 2), The Office. I mean, their dislike for it is justifiable, but to the point where you wouldn't even recommend the rest of the show anymore?

Still fresh, once nostalgia hits history will be kind to it as a whole

Mannn listen, I think about this all the time
I'm always seeing people say "I don't even care about this world anymore because of season 8" or "I'm not excited for any new GOT shows because of the ending"
Like bruh one bad season doesn't ruin all the GOAT s*** this show gave us. And I'm hype AF for the new GOT show especially knowing we have the complete source material and a new writing team.
And I see people are hesitant about the new show saying that they are afraid to give the show a chance because of how GOT ended...but why are they automatically assuming it will be Season 8 quality?? Only reason season 8 was bad because D&D was tired of making the show so they rushed the writing and ending, thats literally the only reason .

Women were mad the character they were LARPing as for years met a s***ty end. Also, typical overreacting nerds mixed with even more annoying performative normies. The show was shaky after S4 and outright s*** after S6 but people didn’t want to admit it.

They stumbled a lil with season 5 but season 6 is genuinely pretty good imo.
Especially considering they had completely run out of source material by then.
I wouldve been very content if D&D wouldve given us a bunch of season 6 level seasons for the remainder of the show

he said AFTER S6, I think we can all agree S5 and S6 were pretty good.

Yeah it’s a bit ridiculous that they’d go so far as to rubbish the entire show. Some genuinely great moments that they’re depriving others of not seeing.

dexter still quite hated bro.
speaking about got, just compare the quality of the first half vs the second half, it's quite tragic that so many plots were resolved either in a wasteland or forgotten because showrunner were incompetent or didn't care
got has the worst outcome among all the shows you mentioned

That's fair, I can understand that.
