big heavy hitter games like botw and odyssey are overrated and their fans ignore their flaws
can't run the games it does have. even switch ports of games that are over half a decade old will have lag issues you won't find in any other port of the game
trash online.
no ethernet capability unless you buy an adapter (lmfao) which means most people won't even have it and the ethernet is effectively useless because you'll still be connecting to people who get wifi when a plane flies over their house
no storage unless you buy more
supposed to be portable but the thing is so much more bulky than say a 3ds
most groundbreaking console ever though brehs

Jul 8, 2020Not sure if this is a hot take but the idea that games have to be gritty, "mature", and tell hyper serious cinematic stories set the gaming industry back by several years. 7th generation was full of this and most of those games aged like milk in part due to this trend.

Jul 8, 2020Most games that come out today are s*** and do not innovate. Devs are scared to take risks and always go a safe route.
Look at Star Wars Battlefront for example. So much opportunity for some dope s***, yet they went safe as f*** with it. Combat was nothing new or exciting (basically copied and pasted Battlefield gameplay and added in power up cards)
Using a lightsaber is janky and not fluid at all, not to mention there's no dismemberment and the lightsaber isn't a one hit kill like they should be.
The voice acting doesn't include a single original actor except for MAYBE like one or 2 people.
There's no conquest mode, you can't fight different eras between each other, Space battles seem dope, but again, are completely lackluster once you've played for more than 20 mins, customization somehow took a step back from BF1.
And all this points to EA not wanting to put the time and effort to make a dope game with an actual Saber Combat system or even realistic combat at all. It was much easier to make a simple arcade shooter anyone can jump into where you dump your clip into a person, reload, die, then do it again. Then, you get to play as Darth Vader who has to slash people at least 2 times to kill them.Basically, name me any game and I can point out why it sucks.

That game was dead to me once they put in bullet patterns.
Also, the game isn't much different from when it was in like Alpha/Beta mode lmao.
NPC AI is still brain dead. Animations still suck ass. Building is still retauded.
Only thing they added was the scientist NPCs and buggy ass boats and helis. (Only 2 variations of each type of vehicle respectively
)And the meta of having a bunch of crossbows (or whatever weapon) in your 'hands' to quick switch to so you can skip reloading is some of the most cancer and stupid s*** I've ever seen in a game.
