I'm tired of seeing the same stupid ass "Have video games FINALLY matured?" headline every time a new Sony first-party comes out
Niggas said that about TLOU1 and did the same s*** for the sequel 6 years later like
I told y'all, I got hot video game takes for days
TLOU games are very overrated to me.
As a video game story, they're great. as a raw video game, not mentioning the story at all, they suck ass. The way zombies react to get hit reminds me of some PS2 era s*** lmao. Also the animations and everything just seem a little meh.
Star Citizen is literally a scam this isn’t a take
Is it?
My friend since high school has been following the game pretty much since it was announced (since we were in like High school LOL) and he still swears it's coming along.
He's got the game and everything. Seems like it IS coming a long, but super slowly. From what my friend describes, it's a game that will set new precedents and they apparently even developed new technologies for the game. He swears it's gonna be like an all in one sandbox story shooter adventure PvP game.
But it sounds way too ambitious to be true.
It honestly sounds like a game I'd want to play in its final stages, but apparently it's not even half way done.
Cod 4
I think Red Dead and even GTA were more groundbreaking than COD 4.
COD 4 would go on to be remade into different iterations of itself until today
But yeah, I don't think a ground breaking game has come out since the 360/PS3 era
all the dark souls/demon souls games are dogshit
"Let's whack each other with giant heavy swords a bunch of times until one of our health bars is depleted!" simulator
How do people excuse such lazy gameplay design?
Not sure how much of a hot take this is but GoldenEye has aged pretty poorly. Really not that fun to go back and play, mostly bc of the controls
Well duh, any game that isn't a platformer from that era aged pretty poorly.
A game like GoldenEye is, by nature, too complex for the control scheme and limitations of the N64.

No man nah
The game has raised upwards of 300 million since the initial funding. The game was supposed have over 100 star systems etc. etc. It still has 0. It's still playable as a space sim but not nearly as massive as it supposed to be.
Every year they bring out new ships (that cost real money) one of which was $27,000. Its been the same bullshit for years. They literally make more money selling microtransactions and promising false hopes than releasing the game. Last year everyone who spent a certain amount of money on the game got to go to a party with the creator where it was announced- wait for it- they got the EXCLUSIVE preorder for a new $2000 ship.
The game is a scam. Minecraft is more innovative
RDR2 is overhyped as s***
Man it really was smh.
And I say this as someone who was a huge RDR1 stan.
The AI is lazy and cheap (how do people know I committed a crime if they never saw me do it???). Guns feel like peashooters compared to the first game. You can tell how scripted the game events are, doesn't feel fluid or natural. You can almost predict them...
Horse controls suck ass, not to mention your horse is a huge b****.
PVP is so bad omg I won't even speak on it except that it's basically a GTA Online carbon copy, hackers included.

Holy f*** dude I didn't know all this lmfaooo.
And my friend certainly won't tell me any of this.
Me and his older brother bout to grill the f*** out of him now
I can't believe that man. I'll admit I didn't really read much into the game, just went off of whatever he told me. But this sounds like some next level debauchery.
Theyre really charging racks for f***ing virtual ships?
And yes, I know about their 300 million dollar budget that they got from donations LOL.
You're right though, with that kind of budget, they should be leaps and bounds ahead at this point. (We're coming up on like 10 years lmao).
So the game is technically less than half way done, yet their primary focus is creating new ships that serve no purpose other than to look nice in the game? And of course, sell to people?
I've honestly been waiting for years for them to pull a No Man's Sky and just call it good as it is and consider it ready.
I wonder if they have a legal obligation to keep the charade going? As long as people think something's coming, they won't try and sue.

I played the first 2 missions and dipped
I literally hold the horse button in cinema mode the whole way back on the second mission while using my smartphone and I didn't even notice I was chased by wolves

I mean, as a single player game it ain't bad, but I don't think I'll go back to it like I did the first one.
I think it's pretty lit how realistic the ragdolls and physics are. Like when you crash your horse lmao. But it gets boring once you realize the repetition of the game.

the game is like 1% completion lmao. No Mans Sky is legitimately a way more polished game. Look up ''Star Citizen Scam'' on youtube and grab some popcorn.
Battlefield 4 the best current gen fps
I would agree for the most part, fantastic game.

Injustice 2 don't get the appreciation it deserves
DC needs to go all in with the injustice storyline. Best storyline since court of the owls.
2K will never be good again
Last good one was 16, debatably 17
sports games in general will never be good again due to in game transactions.
FIFA is a dead game. 2k is a dead game. Madden has been falling off. There's no hope.
