So I will admit that maybe I am hanging onto things that were just accepted or viewed as true when I was growing up, but just until recently there wasn't even any push back to the notion that Jewish people had a lot of power in the media/music/entertainment industry. I am not saying this as some negative thing but It's in the music lyrics and the fight that musicians in the past have had against the lables (think NWA, think MJ, etc). It's been in the movies and shows we all watch, I mean just go watch the last few seasons of curb, I get that Larry can have much more leeway to show it cause he is Jewish himself but its all spelled. Like how did it just automatically become anti-semitic to just say that?

Here's the thing - What he said is an actual antisemitic trope that revolves around "Jews having too much power and Jews are conniving". Nobody is watering anything down. Anti-zionism doesn't mean anti-semitism, and nobody has said that at all in here. In fact people can be as critical as they want to the Israeli government. There's no harm there.

What he's trying to say is that "the Jews are running the media to spread propaganda" which is complete and total bullshit. If the Jews were "running the media", don't you think their PR press would you know... Be a little better in general? Also "the media" is so individualistic nowadays that the mainstream 5 channels that are 24/7 news don't hold relevancy like they did even 10 years ago. People are getting their information from podcasts, Twitter, and other alternative news sites online.

I do agree that the idea of "anti-zionism" being ruled as antisemitism immediately is just wrong though. There's no constructive discussion when people go straight to victimization.
