Here is the story of the Palestinian delegate at the united nations who got up and said before I make my point I just like to tell you a little story. She goes thousands of years ago in Palestine Moses was walking through the desert he came across a rock and he banged the rock with a stone and a fountain of water came out and created a pool so Moses took off his clothes and he bathed in the water but when he got out of the water he realized that his clothes were gone because they were stolen by a thieving Jew at which point the Palestinian delegation was interrupted by the Israeli delegate who had an objection that at that time in Palestine there were no Jews there at all at which point the Palestinian delegate said now that that fact is established I like to start my speech 😂

I'm not Jewish lol. But yes that's my old account. If I get booted off this site again I won't even bother rejoining because it's clear that they want to bend the rules.

We are seeing the peak of the western propaganda machine, the peak of global capitalism, and the peak of the narrative obfuscation that media can concoct

The end of the Palestinian people will be the darkest stain on humanity’s history. Every moment of the genocide has been recorded on camera, discussed by talking heads, and digested by the eyes of the world

And the result is complacency in their genocide. There is no hope left.

A big part of why I never fully went into academia is the deep entrenchment of Zionism. Knew I couldn’t be a part of it.

    exactly

This "bagool" guy above me is really trying to turn this into a pissing contest. Islamophobia and antisemitism are equally vile. Are we not allowed to tell people to not make racist statements nowadays? This site is seriously showing its true colors. Thought KTT2 was supposed to be a left-leaning site? Where's the "tolerance" that is preached?

I could not give a f*** if the Palestinian people rejected a land division proposal by the UN

The legislation of the UN was run by a Security Council consisting of five foreign nations who’s interests laid in establishing a colonial state or foreigners in Arab land, why the f*** would we have to give them authority over the indigenous people of the Levant?

Nowadays peace plans are rejected by israel if they give palestine a state at all anyway, so isnt that argument of palestine turning down the previous offers kind of outdated now

I think the claim he is arguing against is that the Palestinians/Arabs made a mistake rejecting the 1948 borders, but the most common reasoning for (at least in my mind) it being a mistake was not because they turned down a deal (who cares), but because Palestine was hurt by doing so, and would have been better off with the borders - if the Palestinians had won the war, the criticism wouldn’t apply. They gambled and lost, it’s happened before (Greece in 1923 springs to mind as a very close parallel). Actually, a very good parallel is the other side of that war, the Turkish gamble of rejection of the Treaty of Sevres. The difference is that Turkey won the subsequent war and therefore imposed its will - if Turkey had lost the war, it would almost certainly have been even worse off than the original Sevres borders, just like Palestine. Israel has mostly not been hurt by rejecting peace deals, so the same criticism would not apply. One problem with this way of judgment is that it is necessarily retrospective, and there are other criteria to determine whether turning down the 1948 plan was a mistake or not.
