I feel you, some conveniences people will never let go of.

There's not much I think one could do other than advocating/presenting alternatives, thats a slow-burn type of s*** though. (aside from deadass protesting outside the stores but i mean )

But def alternatives have to be present and accessible

It presents a new set of examples from which to highlight the contradictions and true nature of this s*** (where the money really goes) but that's gonna branch off into a different conversation

I don't expect people to do a complete boycott of everything, that would be unrealistic and strategically unsound to call upon individuals to just boycott everything, no one company will actually feel the consequences that way. Institutional boycotts are a different story.

But I'm mostly just talking about the fact that people just don't care that their labor and their consumption is funding genocide. Whatever you may do to fight it is one thing, but it should at least cause you some f***ing distress. People seem to not have any humanity or care about their (inevitable) complicity at all.

Because the religious aspect is just an ideological justification, it was always fundamentally a European colonial project from the movement's inception.

Besides Palestine, they considered Argentina, Madagascar and Uganda as well, all countries in the global south. Why didn't they consider any western countries? Because it was colonial and white supremacist from the very beginning. And actually fascist as well.

Why is zionism white-supremacy and not something they believe in from their book (Talmud)?

talmud is thousands of years old and zionism started in the 19th century, propped up by europeans that didn't want jews in europe

    I agree,

There is this literal geographical distance between us at the point of purchase and where the actual products come from/who they profit and also a mental distance of its right in your face, its convenient, nothing else matters about it, but people have a lot more power in regard to what they spend than they think, especially when people in large numbers agree on something

Most times in general conversations I hear "there's nothing we can do" etc "nothing I can do can impact change" type statements about how nothing they do matters, especially at the individual level

At least from people who aren't hawks and actually in favor of whats going on

I do think some of it (and I don't know if you're referring to these people at all) truly has the most to do with ignorance,

a lot of people don't know much if anything about this until now, just like maybe some things in the past were political awakenings for many of us, this might be that same thing for a lot of those people.

Can't forget the millions in total around the world that have been putting in work too.

I think people who initially don't care and maybe don't know how to care can be pushed or convinced to care, at least some of those people, I don't think it's impossible. Just takes more work

But it is very discouraging feeling like you're in a sea of people who'd rather ignore this s*** and get on with their day than actually bear witness to the atrocities being done and recognize it needs to stop and never happen again

Not just that but it's not like anti-Semitism predates Zionism (and vice reversa, islamaophia)

Its like yea let's pick the area that is historically relevant to our culture but also is currently inhabited and surrounded by countries who would be ok with no Jews existing ever? Its almost humourous, in a very dark way. I don't condone Israel, quite the opposite; I just am like "u f***ing kidding me" ???

Maybe what im saying is problematic, so if so, check me for it. I'm not Zionist. I'm Jewish , I don't support Israel (however I do feel a homeland for Jews isn't a farfetched concept, just not the way it's been done)

Also I recognize the American military industrial influence and colonial aspect of the region so I'm not just "asking questions" or "being centrist" imo but again if it comes off that way , don't hesitate to correct me

Jewish people absolutely deserve the right to living in their religious homeland in a manner that can properly represent them

That can’t come with the genocide and fascism that is attached to the Zionist project, which seeks to eliminate the multiethnic background of the land

Why not a homeland for mullattos and Africans too? All America can give Africans is Liberia which was just deportation and exploitative lol. Why do Jews get a paradise for rich pedophiles but they’re version of “helping “Africans is one of the poorest countries in the world ?

Zionism in practice was always colonial in nature, this was stated openly by the creator of Zionism, Theodor Herzl, and was how it was marketed to the English when asked for support. Zionism does not reflect the "collective will" of Jews or the Jewish people. It was the belief of white supremacists that people of different races should live in their own homogeneous ethnostate (basically, they appealed to European racism that the Jewish state was a solution to the Jewish question) that zionists used to convince Europeans of the validity of a Jewish state. Israel created a national mythos for itself in which the Palestinian issue was caused solely by the British breaking their word to the Palestinians and transferring their land to the zionists.

Given that the so-called "Jewish state" of Israel discriminates against other Jewish people, especially Ethiopian Jews (and let's not forget Palestinian Jews), the idea that the state of Israel cares about the justice for the Jewish people is absurd.
