Nothing crazy but s*** just to cozy up my place cause I deadass have zero furniture. I wanna look into like buying antique stuff and maybe getting it refinished cause I think a lot of older stuff looks hella good

if you’re talking mid century modern styles they’re growing in popularity and the older stuff is becoming more expensive. i’d say scroll craigslist offer up and fb marketplace in your area you’ll def find steals there. there are also places like 1st dibs and pamono but they’re on the higher in of the cost spectrum because those people know what they have. for similar styles ikea is great for starters you just gotta know which lines to buy and which to stay away from. places like restoration hardware and design within reach are expensive but you can pull some reference from their catalogs and easily find dupes in world market, ikea, home goods and wayfair. i’d recommend finding a style you like before making a big purchases to lessen your chances of ending up with a piece you hate in two years

Really great post, appreciate you taking the time to give me a well thought out response. I think as I’m getting older imma start really putting more effort into whatever space I’m living in and how it looks and stuff.

Plus I think older pieces look great and are a lot more eco friendly than purchasing s*** that is built like garbage that gets manufactured a million times over.

facts also look for good flea markets and such in your area they usually have stuff for cheaper than online and tend to be really knowledgeable and open to conversations about this stuff
