not worth watching imo, but it's also just wild the way dis bro fantasizes kanye's direction
Kanye Making Beat
yeah of course we can magically take out STUDIO level stems from a song already recorded, dumbass
since we shouldn’t watch the video, what should we talk about yall?
Sadnwiihc

Right the criticism is pretty much asking too much lol
I will say that stem player could have a bigger storage or convert the songs to mp3 to take up less space and a better website interface. But it's still in its infancy stage.
Like I imagine more artists would put the stems of their projects (yeezy soung/good music signees/collaborators) on the interface alongside ye's discog to also use in the future. And you would be able to access it directly off an app. And be able to play music like a regular streaming service but with the added feature of also being able to use the stems for whatever
Video is ass. The dude thinks the whole point of paying $200 for the stem player is because it rips stems off other songs, but it's not. The point is that it's an interface that lets you manipulate the stems in an easily portable manner.
I would never buy a stem player but this seems like he's just hating on it for the sake of hating on it and doesn't actually understand it's purpose.
I mean it's literally called a stem PLAYER, not a stem RIPPER.
yea the video isn't that good but he seems like a cool guy otherwise even when he goes off on that crazy hypothetical tangent about what kanye could do with the stem player, he prefaces it by saying "yea this s*** dumb as hell and could easily age poorly but its something i was thinking" and i respect that

when i saw that the stems for donda and donda 2 were incredibly clean rips, i was pretty much thinking this

Its a good video and i agree i like the hypothetical second half way more than the first
u should check out his discog dives he does on artists or his videos on what defined each decade, some real good video essays

!https://youtu.be/lfGSquzcBp0ayo i was wondering who put me onto his discog dives and decade videos yea i may not agree with everything he says but i generally like his content
like a music scott the woz
He gets everything wrong when he tries to understand it from a hobbyist perspective and thats never been the intended market

nah man that's pretty much impossible, it's like when you mix milk with coffee, you can't unmix them like they were before mixing

Yeah but his weird take on the purpose of the stem player just gets ye-hating weirdos thinking he made a useless $200 stem ripper even though there are better free alternatives, even though that's not it's main purpose

didn't he just say something along the lines of "ripping stems and playing them isn't the best on this device and it usually isn't in general. overall, i wouldn't recommend paying 200 to do"
generally, im pretty sure that this guy is a ye stan (at least music wise) so i dont think he intentionally tried to hate on ye
