The quality of the ripping (much less the technology of it) wasn’t available 5 years ago when this idea was first forming. It’s legitimately unfair to knock it when you don’t know how far technology has come to even allow something like this to be made.
With that being said, I don’t think it functions much besides a novelty because it assumes the average listener has an interest in listening to the individual components of a song. The technology is really helpful for producers, but why use it through the interface of the stem player and not an actual DAW?

yea that last quarter is a complete reach but he acknowledges that so i dont mind

also people will always hate people for trying new things unfortunately give it time the tide of history will change, and people will eventually get that it's about taking power away from the people who take power away from artists
