bruh that movie Darkness Falls scared the f*** out of me as a kid

There was another movie I watched, but I forget the name. It was a family just chilling. They were on a farm I believe. Then aliens came and it was shot like it was a home movie. Does anyone know the name? I think it's been like 10 years since I watched it and it had to be one of the first found footage movies released.

and it was set in a white hospital type setting and it had horrible brown looking blood and gore prosthetics.

it was on a random dvd and im pretty sure it was just a straight to dvd horror film but ive been trying to find the trailer for years
