Yessir. But the camera work/tone/story reminds me of something earlier Darren would do
Not even familiar with her work, but I can already tell Gia Coppola’s a better director than Sofia’s mid ass

Palo Alto is one of my favorite movies of all time tbh
Just watched today, thought it was an interestingly decent film. Lots of ideas but they don’t feel as fleshed out in favor of amateur style filmmaking decisions. Felt like it distracted from the great performances from Pamela, Jamie, & Dave. I thought the use of 16mm Kodak film made this look beautiful, very ethereal and nostalgic for an early-to-late 2000s look. I’m not surprised at all for the praise Pamela has been getting for this, similar to Demi Moore in the Substance, it’s incredible to see these s***symbols of yesteryears finally get the chance to showcase their immense talent. I do hope to see her continue to land good, and honestly better, material that can put that talent to use.
