I posted something related to this on KTT1 so I'll just repost it here (it's a lot).

A few days ago, I remember having an abnormal dream and as we all know, the logic in such a state does not always make sense (how it starts, what takes place in it, and so on) because dreams are concepts and experiences stitched together.

In this dream I had, the Great Wall of China fell out of the sky and landed in Maryland (right outside of my house). It didn't break apart and as far as I know, nobody died. Police, firefighters and ambulances were on the scene immediately, clearly unnerved and confused over what happened as anyone would be.

So far, as crazy as that sounds, this isn't what I wanted to discuss.

In this dream, I made my way up to the wall by running through police barriers and law enforcement personnel. Once close enough to touch the wall, there were dozens of engraved names on it (maybe it had to do with the thousands that died during its construction? -- to which I'd assume might've been my consciousness randomly generating things at this point).

But, there was a name that stuck with me that I saw: "Tan Daoji", and as clear as day. Later on once I woke up, I had ended up recalling it and decided to pop the name into Google and found out that this was a real person (a general or something)? Not only that, but adding "Great Wall of China" after his name leads to many articles which include both names in some connectivity.

Now this is where I stop understanding things: how do you dream of something (or have something included into a dream) which you have no previous knowledge, experience or a form a contact of/with?

I've never written a research paper on the Great Wall nor heard of this guy's name, yet they both made their way into my dream and it's very odd. He was not significant enough at all to be mentioned in educational studies in the West, and I don't see how I could ever have randomized names and items that go together so accurately before.
