    It's indeed real that people are sensitive to gluten and have reactions to it, and there should be products that offer those people more choice.

    But "gluten-free" quickly became a marketing gimmick that implies healthier eating for everyone, just like "organic", "all natural", "no sugar added", "diet–", "low fat", etc... The bad part about "gluten-free" becoming one of these is that it's not unhealthy at all to eat gluten unless you have a sensitivity to it, but making gluten-free products doesn't require as much work in production so companies can save lots of money by skipping a totally normal step in making a product and market it to everyone as a health benefit.

    This seems the most realistic, I remember when UTZ changed all the chips to “gluten free” them red hots never hit the same
