Slim Charles was the realest
100%
Was Wayne actually disrespected in his prime? Top of the game in sales and influence, every notable artist worked w him, guys like Em, Kanye, and Jay calling him the best rapper or one of the best. I guess he got s*** on by people on Facebook in 2008 but I'm sure those people are always doing some variation of that all the time.
You gotta remember that was 98. These were the types of albums coming out
crazy how the hov albums the worst of these 4
Boy left Cheese on the ground like an empty hennessy bottle Old man ain't even care that Cheese got clipped in front of him, he just wanted the money
none of them gave a f*** after he handed prop joe over to marlo

You think so? I liked Pun's album but I felt like it drags in certain points, s*** was 24 tracks

i think people are confusing respect with disrespect
like lil wayne definitely had his respect in his prime, but he had a lot of detractors.
lot of eminem fans with those mcdonalds memes, older crowd, "real rap" fans, etc were disrespectul towards him
but if we're going to say lil wayne wasn't respected because of a crowd of haters then literally no one was ever respected

It’s like, yeah, people didn’t wanna give him his props but at the same time,he was such a big deal and taking over every facet of Hip Hop,that it didn’t really matter what those critics thought. All his haters pretty much had to fall in line cause from around 07-12,he ran the rap game.
You’re from South America. All Hip Hop culture you witnessed has been online.
end of transmission

lol yeah i'll be honest its dark and hell is hot and 400 degrees are the only ones i played front to back within the last year
but ya you take 5 of the skits/intermission/intros out it's really only 19 songs
and ima be honest i'm not as big a fan of long ass albums anymore but i never had a problem with them until like...2015 when the internet finally destroyed my attention span. so a long album might(there's exceptions) detract from a new album but it never changed my perception or enjoyment of the older ones. and capital punishments an all timer
Remember Eminem saying that he was afraid to diss Wayne lol
Wayne has niggas shook
if only he knew about Ghoulish back then
Ghoulish wasn’t prime Wayne.
i'm just jokin tbh but it's interesting we never got a real diss from prime wayne

Idk if it's cuz the internet destroyed your attention span or cuz long ass albums arent necessary like that. Like a lot of old 90s albums had filler and then when you go back to classic 70s / 80s albums they'd be fire with 9-12 tracks.
One of the few artists I'd see justify long ass albums are Outkast cuz of the amount of ideas they put on display.
And I feel you, Pun is nice af but his style of rapping can tire me sometimes.

yeah i guess it's a combo of things. you had to provide value to get people to spend $10 on an album too, so a longer album had a higher perceived value.
what do you consider a long album nowadays?

Imma keep it real when folks start approaching or getting into the 20s it's like.. you better have a lot to say or i'm skipping a couple songs. Same reason why I couldnt get into Culture 2
