I think Sindri hating Katros and Atraeus or at least being completely done with them is the part that hits the hardest. Man is broken.

Agree with a lot of the sentiment in this thread about the overall rating of the game — pretty good but not jaw-droppingly amazing — but my biggest gripe is the traversing. Found it so much of a slog to actually divert from the main plot because it’s such a hassle to get to side quests and then re-find yourself in the main plot again.

Just finished this game and lemme say it’s one of the most fun i’ve had playing a game BUT

the story was medicore, and i think everything after Atreus meeting Angrbooa was the pinpoint of it. Thor was underwhelming as a character, Odin was completely underwhelming, Tyr was underwhelming,the final battle was a completely joke, the World Serpent was barely shown. The boss fights weren’t that cool.

The final battle though was actually like a joke to me I’ll be honest the past two games practically we were waitin for Ragnorak and it was so underwhelming, and invading Asgard was just so uneventful. You barely got to see the World Serpent, you didn’t get to see the Giant DO anything it felt like. The war barely felt like a war. Also when Odin Wife randomly shows up with her daughter to save Atreus is idk.

This entire game felt so safe and nothing was sacrificed, who actually died ? Brok and Feyer in Ragnorak. Like come on …..

Still had really fun playin just the story was a joke to me.

Bruh I’m only at the part where kratos and freya are back in Midgard and why did I see a random TikTok that spoiled probably the biggest reveal in the game

Mask plot line was resolved in the perfect way.

Sindri plot line was not open ended either, his brother died, he’s mad with grief, the end. I’m glad they didn’t have some hamfisted dumbass reason he forgives Atreus days after his brother died

Kratos can jump 100+ feet in the air but I have to spend time climbing ropes slowly af and going through convoluted puzzles just to jump across stuff?

Doesn’t make sense especially when you have boss fights and cutscenes clearly showing kratos could jump and speed run through the terrain easily

It’s so annoying seeing Tyr and Thor easily lunge over cliffs meanwhile kratos is stuck climbing a stupid rope

Still working on beating it, but got spoiled on Tyr

I just keep imagining a remake of the originals with this new style though

I had this issue with 2018 but not so much this game. There's an accessibility option to press L3 and it points you in the direction you need to go and I was able to never get lost that way

I don’t think wanting the finale to a story-based series to have a strongly written story is too much to ask 😑 the combat is fun in these games but when the entire game is built around combat, puzzles, and story you’d expect the story to be exceptional.

Hated the Atreus gameplay in this game, but a future spinoff focused on a grown Atreus w/ designs similar to this would be dope asl.
