Damn that's pretty ambitious tbh if they are remaking all 3 games from the ground up. I wonder if it will all be on one disc, or even told as one long as story. Also wonder if the voice work will be redone, or just use the tried and true originals. Interesting but once again they announce some s*** not coming until five years down the road

They’ll 100% do completely new voice work. They probably wouldn’t have had the OG voice actor talking about the remake unless they hired him again to do new work imo

That's what I thought for the snake eater remake when they had David hayter doing the marketing and that wasn't the case but we'll see I suppose

never played a remake before, it is much different to a remaster from experience?

Entirely up to how the developer approaches it. It could be the exact same game with next gen graphics, or they could make the original games play like the newer ones. Thinking this is somewhere in between though

we dont know for sure yet, so dependent on the vision

look at resident evil, re1 remake was basically just improving the old thing but keeping it intact while re4 remake was keeping the essence but updating a ton of features to the point where they stand on their own

2 is the best game in the OG imo. 3 got the bigger and better boss fights tho . Level wise 2 is amazing.

Depends on the game and the company, but usually a remake is built from the ground up that can overhaul the experience completely while still being true to the original game (examples: RE2, RE3, RE4, MGS Delta, Silent Hill 2, etc.)

A remaster is pretty much just the same exact game but tweaked graphically and performance wise for modern consoles (The Last of Us Remastered)
