Trhey talkin bout some Mac Miller post from 3 years ago
like what that got to do with anything
If they ask why people don’t f*** with Goldlink or the reason why people think he’s a b****, there’s your reason.
Oh and one more time just to make it even more obvious, f*** Goldink forever and ever.

Hope you feel a lil better after getting that off your chest

I would’ve felt better if he left that post in his notes but unfortunately here we are.
You got bad taste in music then. Outside of his antics Goldlink makes good music
It all sounds the same to me man
Put me on I guess, all I’ve heard from dude got the same flow and upbeat-ness to it
If he takes off that dumbass muffle filter on his vocals this track can be pretty good

I have never and doubt that I will ever press play on a song just to hear Goldlink himself it always gotta be a feature that carries him
i dont even read anything about goldlink these days i still like his music tho n will listen to his next project.
Goldlink wasn't wrong at all for how he felt about that situation. If he felt Mac stole from him then it is what it is. Reading through his post on Mac it doesn't even seem like that's really where the issue stemmed from. Moreso it's how Mac went with a hip-hop house and jazz rap inspired album but didn't get him involved on it despite praising his album and telling him it influenced The Divine Feminine.
It's certainly petty as hell and really didn't even matter in the end as both Mac and Goldlink went on to entirely different paths musically after The Divine Feminine and After That We Didn't Talk. I don't agree with most of what Goldlink said in the post in regards to Mac copying him, but y'all forreal gotta stop acting like he hated Mac Miller and was cursing his name in death lmao Goldlink was still cool with Mac even after that situation. Nigga just had something he wanted to get off his chest and he had every right to do so, it was just weird as hell.
Cuz it's just wrong to be airing out some s*** you feel a certain way about towards someone who just died like 2 days ago, they're dead what can they do about it? You're just saying s*** to the public and the other person has no way to even defend themselves, let the dead rest in peace.
I didn’t read it as something that would require defending.
Cause you don’t need to bring that s*** up in a wack ass Instagram post
I mean, I guess if you’re just anti-IG I get that. but the general public and celebs use IG to memorialize all the time.
I didn’t read it as something that would require defending.
If you died and then this guy goes on IG to say "yea man he was a cool guy but he pretty much stole my sound" you wouldn't want to defend yourself lmao? It's not like he was totally s***ting on him it just wasn't necessary to post and makes you look like an attention seeking a******. Like what are you really gaining by posting it, keep it to yourself if that's how you feel the guy is gone.
“I’d be lying if I said I was surprised to hear you died on us”
Not that bad huh. Shut up
you’re that offended by that?
ppl say different variations of that sentiment all the time.
‘good die young’
‘brightest stars burn out the fastest’
‘god needed you as an angel by his side’
you read it as ‘I wasn’t surprised you died bc you’re a d***gie piece of s***’ ?? I didn’t.

well that’s not what he said.
if I died and my friend posted that he felt I did some stuff wrong but he always loved me and also felt that I meant a lot to him and his career I would feel properly memorialized and would be totally cool with that, yeah.
Mac miller wasn’t good enough for yall to be this mad like half a decade later. Not nearly this good. Sorry he was your intro to rap

What he accused him of was stealing his sound. The only f***ing thing goldlink could have possibly gained by him posting that was so he could have people think he's innovative or some s***, it's just unnecessary is it the worst thing you could ever say about someone who just died? No but it was mad corny and I'm sure 90% of the people who read that took it that way.

It has literally nothing to do with the quality of mac's music, are only the artists who put out a classic for you the ones worthy of not having a "friend" post some bs about them after they die?

he named two projects and said plainly that he felt Mac adopted his sound for a project. that’s not an accusation. that’s his opinion and you or anyone else can form an opinion by listening to the two projects whether that’s true or not. and if you find it’s true you can still love Mac just like Goldlink did.
aside from that, he said a ton of lovely stuff about his friend.

Not in the least, by any measure he was more of a friend to mac than anyone in this thread. They could have met once and they’d still have a more meaningful connection than any irate posters here
