any year of those models but those years are in the 5k and under price range. Preferably toyota bc they're like the most reliable car ever made. Im just talking about choosing the best option, im not talking about trying to stunt like a bmw or something

They're electrical system I'd buggy and constantly fails and needs attention.
That's the only downside to them. Going to buy a digital oscilloscope and a compatible scan tool for this car.
Going to have to get back into automotive electrical repair too.

No, just a clean well maintained vehicle where everything works and it has no major issues.
Of course the car isn't perfect, it needs motor mounts and an evap purge valve or possibly a new vacuum line going to the evap purge valve.
That thing is purely for emissions, but I'll fix it anyway
However they can be modified to handle offroad conditions, the XC70 already sits high as is. Here are few lifted a little.
